Ze weigerden veilig drinkwater te leveren of tests uit te voeren om de veiligheid van de leidingen te bevestigen (we moesten hier zelf voor betalen). - Illegale bedrading van de wasmachine die elke keer dat we erover klaagden, werd genegeerd. Dit veroorzaakte elektrische schokken bij elk gebruik van de machine en ook een overstroming die leidde tot een waterrekening van 400 euro, waar Homey Housing niet aan wilde bijdragen. - Schimmelvorming in de badkamer en slaapkamers door slechte ventilatie en isolatie. - Ze eisten dat de borg volledig via één bankrekening werd betaald, maar betaalden de borg stiekem rechtstreeks aan elke huurder terug, zodat ze ons individueel 100 euro schoonmaakkosten in rekening konden brengen. Een ander schrijnend voorbeeld van hun gevaarlijke onwetendheid was toen een vriendin van mij, die ook bij Homey Housing huurde, voortdurend klaagde over een losse glazen douchedeur.
