Via this route, I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the working methods and service of Marco Sark from Fastgoed Makelaars. In our experience, the services provided did not meet the expectations he himself outlined in any way. During our initial conversations, Marco Sark made promising statements: “I will sell your apartment quickly thanks to its good condition, the neighborhood, and my extensive network. I personally approach buyers and pay a lot of attention to you as sellers.” Unfortunately, none of this proved to be true in practice. From the moment the assignment was given, Marco seemed to have barely any time for us, and arranging viewings also went poorly. Contact mainly took place through the office, telephone, and WhatsApp, but this led to a series of excuses and evasions. Moreover, we caught him several times making contradictory and untrue statements. For example, canceled viewings, where the office indicated that Marco had known about it for days, while he told us he had just heard about it. In addition, nothing came spontaneously; we had to ask about everything and follow up. Even after viewings, we never heard anything. Unless we called or texted Marco, we only received answers then. The office itself functions more like a call center than as professional support. To questions, the standard answer was: “Marco will come back on this,” which subsequently rarely or minimally happened. Furthermore, problems were consistently passed on to others: 'difficult viewers', 'the sales broker' or 'the office.' This attitude not only seemed unprofessional but also aroused distrust. During viewings, it was noted that Marco was hardly involved. Where other brokers actively walk along and provide explanations, he let the viewers wander around without any guidance. This does not show a sign of personal attention or interest in the sale. Finally, it was striking how Marco Sark presents himself excellently in sales videos and speeches, but does not translate this into concrete results. He should have become an actor. Unfortunately, his approach did not lead to the sale of our apartment, which we completely attribute to his lack of commitment and professionalism. Marco Sark only reacted proactively once, when we withdrew the sales assignment, we immediately received an invoice that same evening for services rendered, which we still wonder about today. Not paying was not an option because our address was 'held hostage' on Funda and it made it impossible for us to enter into a partnership with a serious and reliable broker. We also want to express our disappointment with the role of VBO Makelaars. Although we thought this was an interest group that supports sellers, it turned out to be a commercial organization that protects brokers. This makes them unreliable to us as well. Therefore, we advise everyone not to enter into a partnership with Marco Sark or Fastgoed Makelaars. This is not a party that delivers on what they promise. In response to this review, he will deny everything or place the blame on other parties. That's exactly how we know him.

The contact was very pleasant and Sjors is very accessible and easy to reach. Which is really nice. If I had questions, I could call him or even send him a message. Super service! Initially, the story sounded good. Due to serious private circumstances, there was an urgency to sell and limited energy to organize much. This broker really handled things very badly for us. The photos were very bad, supposedly the best photographer in the Netherlands?? Total mismatch with the viewers and the house. This broker has no network in our neighborhood. I would describe his approach as amateurish. I had to fill things in on an Excel sheet, which is very awkward and not of this time. All brokers work with an online environment. This broker is nowhere accountable; it cost us a lot of time and money and we have to start again while it was clear that we didn't have that time. This broker knows how to twist things so that ultimately it’s all the customer’s fault. Their website states how many houses they have sold, which is particularly little. Our advice is to think very carefully before entering into a partnership with this broker. After we posted this review, there was a response from the broker. For a moment, we thought the broker would take responsibility for his share in the disappointing result. On the contrary, he threatens with collection etc. In the meantime, we know via the new broker that there is a complaint from one of the potential buyers about the bad experience with this broker. Had decided not to make an offer for that reason and luckily now do. This broker does not hesitate to proclaim untruths in his favor, which can be read in his response to this review! Again, this broker is affiliated with nothing; you cannot file a complaint and cannot handle feedback! We immediately let them know that the photos were bad, and Sjors said it wasn’t so bad that they could still be used. Our lesson is that we will work with qualified brokers from now on who can demonstrably do their job well.
