16 Jan 2026I had contact with Kievitsmakelaardij after the first viewing. Stefan, the real estate agent who helped us, helped us through the entire process. He was actually reachable all day long. So we went through the purchase contract at 21:00 in the evening. When buying, he negotiated, which resulted in us paying a good price for the house. Furthermore, he also negotiated down an additional amount of costs, which gave us more security when buying.

De makelaar heeft ons huis getaxeerd en samen hadden we een vraagprijs besproken waarvan de makelaar verwachtte dat die geboden zou worden of zelfs overboden. Alleen de verkoop duurde langer dan verwacht en de vraagprijs is niet gehaald. Maar, al bij al, is ons huis onder de vraagprijs verkocht. We zijn tevreden: het is, wat het is. He is always punctual and never lets anyone wait at a closed door. Prior to this, he had thoroughly studied the housing market and could share the figures with us. 18 Dec 2025We strongly advise against working with this real estate agent. We hired them to sell our apartment, and although they initially appeared very professional, our experience turned out differently. We invited several real estate agencies to view our home before deciding with whom we would go into business. Boumij made a strong first impression by sending two agents to the initial appointment. Based on this, we chose Boumij – despite them being the most expensive – expecting that their higher fee would lead to better service and attention to detail. Unfortunately, this was not the case. A major issue was the lack of consistency in the agents who accompanied the viewings. Each viewing was conducted by a different person, which did not inspire confidence. Although Boumij did respond to contact requests, their communication was far from proactive. For example, they did not inform us for four days about an offer on our home! We only found out when we called them to make a new offer following the open day we had organized. Even more concerning was that one of Boumij's agents made an inappropriate and biased comment during a viewing, telling potential buyers that they probably couldn't afford our house – a remark that could have jeopardized the sale. Ironically enough, these buyers eventually purchased the property. Furthermore, Boumij offered no support during our open day. We organized this ourselves, which we had expected, but a visit from one of their agents or even a follow-up phone call would have been reassuring. We received no guidance, no tips, and there was no follow-up after the event. Overall, we felt completely abandoned throughout the entire process. Finally, a small but telling detail: it is customary for real estate agents to leave a small gift for the new homeowners. Given Boumij's high prices, we had expected this courtesy, but it never arrived. In short, the service we received was poor and did not justify the costs. Perhaps we had bad luck during a busy period, but that is no excuse for the miscommunication, lack of help, and overall negligence. We would not recommend Boumij and also will not use their services again.

08 Dec 2025The contact went generally well. It was sold after 6 weeks subject to financing. Unfortunately, the buyers needed 2 weeks longer to sort this out. It was very exciting but fortunately it turned out well. "No news is good news" said Boumij. They were right.
