Shocking service. Terrible communication.

Lars Pennings is very reliable, and pleasant to work with. I have been working with Interhouse for a number of years. And what strikes me is that they represent both the tenant and landlord professionally. Absolutely a recommendation!

Not good. Only looking for a quick refund. The landlord had left no towels or bed linen upon check-in and the agent didn't care. The landlord only returned part of the deposit and kept the rest illegally. The agent did nothing. I do not recommend this landlord.

We recently rented a beautiful house through Interhouse. We are very satisfied with this collaboration. Excellent communication and expert people. Especially the handover went very smoothly and we almost had to do nothing. Absolutely a recommendation!

All in all a great experience. There were some technical problems, but within about two weeks I was able to find and move into an apartment with Interhouse. They were very efficient and direct, and gave good recommendations for setting up utilities. A 10/10, I would recommend.

Reliable, professional and friendly real estate agent. We are former expats and have engaged Interhouse to find and screen tenants for our apartment in Amsterdam. From the beginning, we were impressed by Lars and his team. They were always helpful, responsive and efficient in their communication (straight to the point, and so different from other, shady real estate agents we came across). Lars helped us navigate the complex rental system in the Netherlands and find the best structure for our situation. He always found good tenants at a good price, without any delays. I also feel that they went above and beyond to answer our questions and provide advice. 5/5, would recommend!

Pas op mensen, dit makelaarskantoor is oplichterij! Lees hun antwoord niet eens, want ze hebben niet eens makelaars in dienst. Ten eerste gaf ik aan geïnteresseerd te zijn in een appartement dat op hun website stond. Het enige advies dat ik je kan geven is dat ze je niet zullen helpen met het terugkrijgen van je aanbetaling; ze zullen proberen je op te lichten. Ze zullen alleen naar je glimlachen tijdens het tekenen van het contract, daarna ben je in feite hun vijand. Als je al een contract met ze hebt getekend, maak dan zoveel mogelijk foto's van hoe je het huis hebt gevonden. En veel succes. NB: Blijf uit de buurt van dit onbeschofte en onprofessionele bedrijf.

Ik had het gevoel dat mijn belangen als huurder volledig werden genegeerd, terwijl de belangen van de eigenaar zeker wel werden behartigd. Een van de grootste problemen was de manier waarop er boven ons een volledige verbouwing plaatsvond die zeven maanden duurde, beginnend bij aanvang van ons negen maanden durende contract met een opzegtermijn van negen maanden. Doordat onze klachten constant niet serieus werden genomen, voelden we ons machteloos en misbruikt. We leefden dagelijks met vuil en lawaai, wat onze leefkwaliteit tot een minimum beperkte en ons onnodige stress bezorgde die een negatieve invloed had op ons leven. De communicatie verliep vlot, maar de beslissingen werden altijd in hun eigen belang of dat van de verhuurder genomen, zonder dat er echt moeite werd gedaan om ervoor te zorgen dat wij een prettige ervaring in onze tijdelijke woning hadden.

Be careful if you are a tenant.

Be careful if you're an expat renting here. This is the lowest level of professionalism I've ever seen. All they want is to quickly collect some money and then run away. They don't help you if you have a problem and 'cleverly' avoid all responsibilities in the contract. They don't see any added value they create at all. If they think exploiting expats is the right way of doing business, good luck with that.

Scheduling a viewing in order to then cancel an hour beforehand because the apartment is already rented out. Quite a strange way of doing things.

Normally I don't like to write reviews. But because I was so satisfied with the smooth and problem-free move to Amsterdam via Interhouse, I decided to write one. Very professional staff - from the timely arrival to the quick answering of questions, handling the check-in and ensuring transparency about costs and details. Tot nu toe ben ik tevreden over de service van Interhouse. Houdijn is duidelijk over de details van het appartement en de kosten. De communicatie verloopt goed.

Our moving company has engaged Interhouse. We found them very knowledgeable, responsive and professional. Lars represented us during another move and saved us a lot of money in a dispute. They have your best interests at heart. I would definitely engage them again.

Very bad experience with them!!! If you rent from them and you have a problem with your accommodation they try to make you solve it yourself. Like for example leakage in the toilet from the upper drainage pipe. They want you to go to the neighbors yourself to solve it with them. When leaving the accommodation. They steal your deposit by thoroughly checking the property. If a lamp doesn't work. They charge you 5 euros plus 30 euros labor. Even the final inspection and handing over the keys they charge for 2 hours rate of 2 people and all this to not pay your deposit and they don't give you the possibility to return the accommodation as they want. In short! Don't go in the sea with them. Rather sleep on the street than rent through them! They are scammers!!! And very EXPENSIVE!

Don't even think about entering into an agreement with this company. If you have a problem with the housing, they will refuse to help and blame you, even if there are children involved. Their so-called 'property management' means that they do nothing and argue via email. They will exploit expats and laugh at you. If you are reading this and already have an agreement with them, don't give them back the keys until they pay you what you are owed.

Interhouse is without a doubt the best letting agent in Amsterdam. We have been working with them for more than 6 years and let properties. They are very professional and reliable. I can certainly recommend them for letting your property, but also for expats looking for the right living space. I saw below a number of very negative reactions and I can't imagine that these are real customer reviews. Just call them or drop by and discover it yourself.
