Welcome to the circus of Makelaardij InterImmo 🎪 – where customer friendliness is a myth and bureaucracy is practiced at top-sport level. Our family was looking for temporary accommodation for five months during the renovation of our newly purchased home. Sounds simple, right? Well, not with InterImmo. I thought I would just sign a rental agreement and pay the rent in one go and that would be it, but apparently I was unintentionally auditioning for a role in a Kafkaesque play. Read and shudder... 1️⃣ Advance payment of five months' rent? No sir, first we need to do an income check and annual accounts from the last three years of my company. Completely logical, of course, because someone who wants to pay the full rent in one go is suspicious. 2️⃣ All data neatly provided to InterImmo via my assistant. But then Floris called her; the Sherlock Holmes of real estate. He sensed something. A bad feeling. About my annual accounts. About my salary. Maybe also about my zodiac sign. Sagittarius? Sorry sir, we only do business with Pisces and Taurus. Conclusion: rejection based on a gut feeling. 3️⃣ Holiday stress! Calling from South Africa for an explanation, because why on earth do we have to go through this bureaucratic obstacle course? Oh wait – of course, bureaucracy is after all a way of life at InterImmo. The only thing that runs smoothly is their ability to be difficult. 4️⃣ Making appointments for the keys? Forget it. You just adjust and come mid-day at a time they want. Customer service with the elegance of a bailiff with a bad mood. 5️⃣ Tenants? They are treated like pesky flies in the room. Misinformation, communication by decree and a landlord who is led to believe by InterImmo that he can deduct everything that feels right from the deposit. Legal basis? Oh wait, InterImmo operates on 'I feel it that way'. 📢 Conclusion: InterImmo is unnecessarily complicated, customer-unfriendly and with the empathy of a speed bump. I am grateful for my own home – but for those who really depend on this circus act? My sincere condolences.

We had a viewing scheduled for an apartment in Amsterdam. It was a complete waste of time. The floor plan they posted did not match reality & the measurement report. The floor plan included a small garden that wasn't yours, when we confronted the realtor he said it should have been taken from Funda and the moving account, when he got home it was still on the Funda listing & moving account. We felt like we came under false pretenses, we think you should just be transparent and it is certainly not fair to the owner, since it was a beautiful apartment apart from the problem with the garden that wasn't yours. We would not have scheduled the viewing if we had known beforehand that the little garden didn’t belong to the property.

We rented an apartment from 2021 to 2024 through Broersma Makelaardij in Amsterdam. Initially, the process went smoothly: our landlord worked with a realtor named Florence, who efficiently got us into the apartment. However, when it came time to move, the experience took a sharp turn. Florence and the landlord were unprofessional, withheld important information, and made it clear that we would not receive help in recovering our deposit of € 5.500, despite having returned the apartment in good condition after 3.5 years. Shortly after we moved out, we heard that Florence had left Broersma Makelaardij for unknown reasons. When we contacted others at Broersma Makelaardij for help obtaining proof of the repairs that would justify withholding our full deposit, they were dismissive and unwilling to assist. Despite positioning themselves as a high-end agency, they showed no interest in ensuring fair treatment of all parties involved in a rental agreement, including tenants. Their refusal to contact the landlord and request documentation of repair costs left us with no choice but to hire an attorney and take legal action directly against the landlord. If you are considering renting through Broersma Makelaardij as a tenant, I would think long and hard about it. While they may seem professional initially, they offer no support when it really matters.
