Typische Amsterdamse makelaar. Ik raad ten zeerste aan om waar mogelijk een alternatief te zoeken. Nadat ze telefonisch beledigd werden tijdens de prijsonderhandelingen, proberen ze samen met de verhuurder aan het einde van het huurcontract de borg zo hoog mogelijk op te drijven. Bijvoorbeeld: wij moesten het volledige bedrag betalen voor een wasmachine die bij de huurprijs inbegrepen was en die volgens hen vervangen moest worden. Ook moesten tapijten en muren met minimale slijtage volledig opnieuw geverfd worden, op onze kosten.

Ik belde voor het eerst naar het kantoor om mijn situatie uit te leggen, omdat ik op zoek ben naar een huurappartement. Ik werd teruggebeld door Wytse en ik moet zeggen dat ik zeer onvriendelijk gedrag van hem heb ondervonden. Ik legde hem uit dat ik een expat-student ben die al jaren in Amsterdam woont en vertelde hem over mijn situatie en budget (dat vrij hoog is, 2500 euro per maand). Hij wees me direct af met de bewering dat het niet zijn beleid is om mensen met een buitenlands inkomen te huisvesten. Hij was bovendien erg agressief aan de telefoon en zei dat ik het maar aan mijn huisbaas moest vragen als ik bezwaar had. Waarom zou je zeggen dat je expats huisvest als een inkomensverklaring uit het buitenland een dealbreaker is? Onprofessioneel en onbeschoft, ik raad hem niet aan! UPDATE: Wytse belde me vanochtend en probeerde me te intimideren om de recensie te verwijderen. Pas nadat ik ermee instemde, gaf hij toe dat hij zich gisteren tijdens ons telefoongesprek onprofessioneel had gedragen. Volgens Wytse is een budget van 2500 euro per maand voor een tweekamerappartement in Amsterdam blijkbaar hetzelfde als "proberen een Ferrari te kopen met 1000 euro op zak". Dit illustreert perfect de treurige staat van de Amsterdamse woningmarkt. Wytse zei vandaag: "Ik werk voor de verhuurders, niet voor jullie".

Ze hebben zich enorm ingespannen en zijn me blijven steunen tijdens een lastige zoektocht naar een woning, waarbij ik vrij specifieke eisen had en een strikt budget. Bedankt voor jullie geduld en doorzettingsvermogen om het juiste huis voor me te vinden.
