25 Jul 2025With AVT Makelaars, I only have experience as a private buyer in relation to AVT as a selling broker. I can therefore only share something from this perspective, but my experience with Jonathan was so positive that I felt it deserved a review. Jonathan was very friendly, communicative and transparent. I experienced him as a selling broker for two different properties. Regarding the second property, I really appreciated that he called to inform us about it when bids came in earlier than the deadline for indicating whether we would make an offer, and to ask if we were still interested. In that case, we could still place a bid until the previously agreed date; in the second instance, he would have already given it a push. (The property had already been sold to a buyer who ultimately did not secure financing, so this second round proceeded somewhat differently than the standard procedure) Because we were hesitant and didn't want to deny other interested parties, but Jonathan otherwise gave us the space to think about it for a few more days. I would like a selling broker to treat potential buyers as he did.

Less than an hour later, Joek was sitting at our kitchen table passionately talking about his approach. He came across as no ordinary agent; he was down-to-earth, sincere, and someone who knows how to get things done. He immediately provided styling and renovation tips that would benefit the sale of our house. After meeting with Joek (who also recommended us see two other agents), we couldn't stop thinking about his approach, vision, and manner. This led us to choose him as our agent. From the moment we started working together, he brought furniture, plants, garden equipment, and carpet from his own store into our house. He even rearranged the rooms and helped with cleaning and decluttering so that everything looked perfect for the photos, which he took himself and had professionally edited. Throughout the entire process, Joek supported us with a smile and a tear in his eye, fostering a wonderful collaboration and friendship. He actively listened to my wishes and made sure he screened all apartments before viewing them, which saved us time and energy. He regularly came up with possibilities before I had seen them online. During viewings, he ensured that he focused on all the small but important technical details so that I could focus on my overall opinion of the apartments. He didn't rush and even postponed the process several times due to details I had overlooked. Ultimately, we found the perfect apartment for me in less than two months. And thanks to his market knowledge and negotiation skills, I got a great apartment at a great price without having to pay transfer tax.
