There were some issues with the photos—no one asked if we wanted drone shots, and although they were taken, they were never used. We also felt the broker didn’t clearly advise us on the expected selling price, despite claiming otherwise. While he provided the asking price and comparable sales, the guidance felt unclear. That said, the apartment sold quickly, so we’re satisfied overall. …

Because we were new to the Dutch housing market, he guided us excellently through everything, including handling our offer, arranging technical inspections, and finding a notary. So when it was time to upgrade, we were happy to work with him again for the sale of that property and the purchase of a second one. Gaby is very experienced and an expert in the Amsterdam housing market. With his help, we got a great bid and are very happy with our sale. We are also super happy with our new house! I would definitely recommend Thuis in Vastgoed (and have done so!) to any expat seeking help navigating the Dutch housing market.

13 Nov 20241 star is even too much. 2 years ago, I bought a house. I was told by Frank that the central heating boiler worked and the electricity was in good order. After we moved into the house, we tried to turn on the heating. It turned out the central heating boiler didn't work. After calling 3 central heating experts, 2 electricians, buying a new central heating boiler, and being €3000 further down in costs, we discovered that there was no ground cable in the house. Our lives were therefore at risk. I called Fris wonen and they stated that they do not offer compensation and hung up in my face. Says a lot about this company. €3000 in costs and I have to sort it out myself. Never doing business with them again. I also strongly advise against buying your house through them. A fine company for selling, because they even sell houses that don't have electricity…

23 Feb 2025I visited RE/MAX Royal at their office and my experience was frankly disappointing. From the moment I walked in, I didn't feel like I was being treated as a serious person. The employees seemed uninterested and unprofessional. In addition, my data was handled carelessly. Mistakes were made and I had to provide the same information multiple times, which was very frustrating. This doesn’t exactly inspire confidence, especially when it comes to something important like buying or selling a home. All in all, I would absolutely not recommend this real estate agent. Customer friendliness and carefulness don't seem to be a priority here.

No corner or crevice was overlooked, allowing him to quickly sketch out a realistic picture of the possibilities in negotiation but also an increase in future market value. Communication was clear and we never had to wait long for an answer should a question arise. No notes, 10/10 would hire again!

He informed me about all the steps in the process and advocated for me throughout the entire process. When I was stressed about the current situation in the housing market combined with the extremely competitive bidding process, he was patient, communicative, and helped me determine the strategy for the process. He quickly answered calls and messages and kept me updated on every development. His ability to explain every part of the process clearly, including the complex contract details, was particularly helpful. The entire process was a rollercoaster ride for me, but with Marcel's help, it was nothing less than a joyful ride. I cannot recommend Marcel enough if you are looking for a great realtor!

Furthermore, we sought advice via the financial advisor who Saen works with, namely Finenzo. Here we were helped by Jamie, who really did a fantastic job; when we were under time pressure for the mortgage application, she saved us and everything worked out well anyway. All in all, a very pleasant experience and highly recommended!

When I entered the meeting to get information about buying a house, they unfortunately spoke to me in a mocking, laughing and sarcastic manner. They prevented me from continuing to talk to me in a very impolite way. If you want accurate information about buying a house, I strongly advise against coming here, as they make fun of you badly. For an employment contract, you can only get €50,000 in mortgage! They used a calculator from the tenth century to calculate how much mortgage I could get!

To buy a home below the asking price in the current market and to get the mortgage arranged within three weeks, you need to know your houses. Carel and Omar pulled it off! Of course, a compliment is also due to the ladies of the internal agency and mortgages: they did excellent work and kept us informed of every step. We absolutely recommend them: VLIEG gets 5 stars from us. We engaged team VLIEG Zaanstad (Carel, Amy and Mariken) for the sale of our house. The quote stated: may we also exceed your expectations? You more than fulfilled that. We are very happy with you (and of course also with mortgage advisor Omar) and again: thank you for the good service (right up to a moving van). There was very good communication between the agents, the mortgage advisor and the internal and external services. We were completely relieved of worries, kept informed of every step and (potential) problems were predicted - and solved before they became an actual problem. Exactly what you should expect from a (financial) service provider.
