Beware of this realtor! Unjustifiably charged reporting costs of 484 euros. I contacted the realtor and repeatedly requested a description of the reporting costs. I never received an explanation. After promising legal action, I got the money back after almost 2 years without further explanation. Erik Bessems does not measure the areas of the Sonnevijver houses and gardens. Subsequently, he covers himself with the official sales deed. Once you have signed, you can no longer hold Bessems or the notary liable. A tip for prospective buyers: measure the house and garden yourself before proceeding to the final purchase. Bessems is paid handsomely to sell the house but compulsory measurements as a real estate agent, he has no desire for that. Sad but true.

Although our various visits did not result in a purchase, we would like to sincerely thank Mr. Bessem for his exceptional friendliness and professionalism. We felt very well taken care of.

This office sold my mother's house. It has only brought her and us (the children) a lot of frustration. Especially the attitude in this case from Bessems was experienced by us as very disappointing. And when you then want to share your experience on Funda, they also took away that possibility by disabling this function for us. Even more disappointing. If only they were so quick in communication. Would I recommend this broker? No definitely not! I would even strongly advise against this office to anyone who asks for my opinion. This agency was allowed to sell my mother's house in Belgium. Initially, we dealt with broker Wil de Jonge from Bessems agency who really wanted to sell the house for us. Due to his enthusiasm for the assignment, my mother chose Bessems. However, when I went to hand over the keys at the office for the first viewing, I was told that Mr. de Jonge no longer worked for Bessems agency. The agency did not inform us about this and they could not tell me which broker would take over Mr. de Jonge's duties. After some insistence on my part, I received an email address where I could go with my questions. I emailed and am still waiting for a response to this day..... On the day of the viewing, I myself went to wait in the building to see which broker would take on our assignment. From that moment on, Mr. Kornips was our broker but we missed the involvement, advice and expertise you would expect from a broker. And even at the time of transfer with the notary, our broker remained deficient....the energy label had not been forwarded and there was a file missing which we were unaware existed. We had requested prior to the transfer for completeness assessment of the file but also there the broker did not respond. The buyer's notary withheld 5000 euros from the purchase price until we could provide the file. A lot of stress for us and our 85-year-old mother, therefore. And from the broker no recognition for their mistakes, no empathy but a well-deserved generous commission. Even our ability to rate on funda has been blocked by Bessems which makes me wonder how much those laudatory reviews actually mean if you block negative feedback. I say in any case 'brokerage firm Erik Bessems?!' NEVER AGAIN!

Always to my full satisfaction! Both Erik and his colleagues are clear and correct in their communication and demonstrate commitment throughout the entire process.

I still feel guilty about nominating this Bessems realtor regarding the sale of my mother's house in Kanne. Will de Jonge was enormously enthusiastic and really wanted to take charge of this sale. This turned out differently because Will de Jonge suddenly no longer worked for Bessems Realty the week after our commitment. What I find utterly scandalous is that we were never informed about this. Will was our point of contact, would represent us in the sale of my mother's house. Forgotten perhaps? We are not talking about a bag of candy but about a house. A bad start. After this, the entire sale unfolded into one big drama, a chain reaction of very poor communication and many mistakes, too many to mention. All in all, a very stressful experience for everyone, but especially for my 85-year-old mother. I would therefore certainly not recommend this realtor.

Earlier I had excellent experiences with Top Makelaar Curaçao; they guided me fantastically. When I wanted to move to Maastricht, I contacted Top Makelaars in Maastricht. Unfortunately this was a huge disappointment: the communication was always indirect and vague, the contract was full of messy spelling errors, they were always late for appointments, the phone was never answered and callbacks didn't come. All in all a very unprofessional service – absolutely not recommended!

edit: What's striking is that Topmakelaar hasn't received any reviews in the last 9 months... until I left a 1-star review, suddenly people started leaving good reviews again... This seems like a pattern: Every time a negative review is left, there are 'suddenly' 4 people who leave a positive review. My review: Almost everything he says is a lie and you constantly have to chase him before he does his work. He doesn't respond to emails, I called him 10 times in one day but no response, always late for appointments, and the work that he DOES do is super bad. Topmakelaar is an obstacle from beginning to end. A huge waste of money.
