I've had a great experience, but I started to worry when the problems that I was told would be handled before the move weren’t resolved. I had two major issues that were effectively in violation of Dutch tenant rights and which were never resolved, namely a huge window leak that led to water damage and mold. I reported it repeatedly but received no support. Now, when I moved out, Brinkborgh falsely claimed that I hadn't cleaned and tidied the apartment and is using this false statement to illegally withhold my deposit. I have photos and videos with evidence and a testimony from the cleaning company and the moving company I hired to carry out my move. I asked for a specified list of what wasn’t cleaned or tidied, and they ghosted me. Unfortunately, I had to hire a lawyer to write a letter of demand and will be taking legal action. It's just very disappointing to have to do all this extra work and incur these extra costs because they lack moral character and are trying to withhold money illegally and fraudulently. I’ve also shared my story in some expat groups, and unfortunately, I am not the only one. This company works with a large landlord company which is widely known to be predatory. When I reported this to the municipality, they already knew exactly which company I was talking about and said it's an ongoing problem. Please learn from my experience and don’t trust these people.

Last spring I sold my apartment of approximately 60 m² in the Jordaan with Kelly. I had a fantastic experience with Laura and Iris. For me, it was very important that I was assigned two brokers, because there was always someone available for viewings and questions. They also responded incredibly quickly to my WhatsApp messages: usually within an hour, often within minutes. They could advise on neighborhoods, legislation, and knew what to ask during the viewings and what to look out for (for example, tips that I wouldn't think of during the viewing like 'it's a top floor with a flat roof, expect it to get really hot in the summer'). They were very quick at scheduling viewings and communicated well with the selling brokers, so I always knew what the current situation was (let’s think about this for a moment, should we consider making an offer, approximately how much). The entire process, from the beginning of the viewings to the signing of the contract, took less than two months, partly thanks to their quick response times and planning of services via their network (technical inspector, notary etc.). What really stood out was how stress-free they made the whole experience for me. The only thing I had to do myself was literally show up at the viewings and say whether the apartment suited me. One thing that really impressed me and is worth giving them credit for was the way they acted in my best interest. At one point, they advised me not to overbid hastily but instead offer the asking price, even though they knew my budget allowed for overbidding. It showed me that they truly cared about getting the best deal for me, and not just a quick deal for themselves. Ultimately, thanks to their advice, I paid significantly less than what I was prepared to offer.
