Van Dijk Real Estate is friendly and easily accessible, but our experience was ultimately disappointing. During the purchase process, everything seemed to be going smoothly, but on the day of transfer, it became clear how biased the real estate agent was towards the selling party. The property was not delivered empty and clean: there were still shelves and racks hanging on the wall, while it was clearly agreed that these would be removed. In addition, there were still lists, plant pots and other items left behind, and the garden was full of waste, broken glass and rubble. When we pointed this out during the final inspection before key transfer with the seller and the real estate agent, the seller reacted curtly that we shouldn't “nitpick,” and the real estate agent immediately took her side by saying that it wasn’t necessary to continue on this point. Notably, the real estate agent and seller indicated that they knew each other well and had bought and sold several properties together before. This perhaps explained why the real estate agent so clearly sided with the seller. In addition, we received incorrect information about the property, which further worsened our experience. We would not recommend Van Dijk Real Estate to buyers who expect fair and neutral guidance.
