1/5 – OPLICHTINGSGERICHTE ERVARING. VERMIJD DIT TEN ALLE KOSTEN. Ik huurde een appartement van dit bedrijf (Holland West) voor 6 maanden en het was eerlijk gezegd een van de slechtste huurervaringen die ik ooit heb gehad. 1. Borgnachtmerrie Ze weigerden mijn borg terug te betalen totdat ik juridische stappen ondernam. Ik kreeg de borg uiteindelijk na vier maanden terug, en zelfs toen kostte de juridische procedure me nog geld. Mijn buurvrouw had precies dezelfde ervaring en moest ook stappen ondernemen om haar geld terug te krijgen (zelfde bedrijf, zelfde gebouw). Dat zegt al genoeg. 2. IJskoude, onleefbare temperatuur Het appartement was onmenselijk om in te wonen. Er was slechts één klein kacheltje in één kamer en helemaal geen verwarming in de slaapkamer. De temperatuur binnen was minder dan 15°C en ik moest letterlijk een jas dragen binnenshuis. Bovendien zetten ze de verwarming in april helemaal uit, terwijl het 's nachts nog 1-2°C was. Ik betaalde hier meer dan € 1600 per maand voor. 3. Extra kosten voor alles Ze brachten me kosten in rekening voor volstrekt belachelijke dingen – bijvoorbeeld een gewone snijplank die licht bekrast was en wat verkleurd door gebruik. Toen ik klaagde over de vrieskou, gaven ze me een elektrische kachel… en later brachten ze me €405 in rekening voor “extra elektriciteitsverbruik”. Als het appartement goed verwarmd was geweest, had ik die kachel in de eerste plaats niet nodig gehad. Ze deden hetzelfde bij mijn buurman. 4. Vieze omgeving Buiten het gebouw lag er altijd afval op de grond. Het zag er smerig uit en leek nooit opgeruimd te worden. Er was ook een soort dierenweide in de buurt en de geur van schapenmest hing vaak in de lucht. Mijn advies: OVERWEEG NIET EENS OM HIER TE HUUREN. Holland West deed niets om te helpen, negeerde problemen en bracht waar mogelijk extra kosten in rekening. Ik heb er spijt van dat ik ooit met dit bedrijf in zee ben gegaan.
