All brokers in Riethoven

We would never think that a management company would neglect help with gas leaks and mouse infestations, but that's what happened. From that moment on, we only contacted the landlord (a professional handyman) to have the problems in the house fixed. This 'management' company was not only useless during our stay in the house. They were also shadowy. They did not provide original invoices from the companies they allegedly hired to clean the house, paint it, or solve the problems. They only offered an overview with overpriced services. For example, to cover 4 holes in the wall – each 8 mm – they paid 90 euro. They also listed services in the overview that were not mentioned in the final appraisal. So did we pay for extra renovations too? They clarified nothing. Only then was approximately 30 euros of a deposit of 1500 euros sent to our bank account. I say 'they' because no one was ever responsible for anything. They pointed fingers at each other.

My experience with House Hunting was very positive. I would like to emphasize the service of agent Martijn, who was extremely helpful, efficient and always available to help with everything I needed. His attention to detail and dedication in answering my questions made a difference in the process. To agree with a buyer and then, behind their back, accept a higher bid. Doesn't really inspire confidence in a broker whom you would minimally expect that from.

Mr. van Engelen is a disgrace in the real estate world. We had submitted an offer on Friday afternoon for a house in Aalst-Waalre with the conditions regarding the transfer of the house attached. On Friday evening, we were called by Mr. van Engelen stating that our bid and our conditions had been accepted. On Monday, we made an appointment to sign the preliminary purchase agreement on Tuesday afternoon. I was called on Tuesday morning by Mr. van Engelen with the message that we could not buy the house after all because they went into business with another buyer! This other party suddenly offered more??!!! And better conditions??!! Unbelievable and unacceptable. So with Mr. van Engelen, a word is NO word, so the term unreliable certainly applies to this person, and he has thrown all decency overboard. SHAME!

Unreliable and don't go into business with them

Agree to a bid and then proceed behind the scenes verbally with another party. That party approached the seller and made a higher offer, which this broker agrees with. Not the normal course of events in my opinion.
