During the purchase of the house, Matthijs (Hey!) was the selling real estate agent. Unfortunately, in my opinion, Matthijs dropped the ball in several areas and did not properly guide the seller through the sales process, causing me as a buyer to constantly face all sorts of surprises. Of course, as a selling real estate agent you can't perform miracles either, but anticipating bumps and problems throughout the (sales) process should be possible. To give an example: the seller and I wanted to finalize the sale as quickly as possible. Then Matthijs went on vacation with all the keys, preventing the appraiser from entering the house until Matthijs returned. Also, a whole stack of letters from the energy company passed by Matthijs' eyes, which meant that I could only start the termination process after signing. Matthijs also didn't discover during the transfer inspection that the central heating system wasn't working, which meant that the deed at the notary had to be postponed until it was fixed. Piece by piece, these are things that could really have been easily prevented with foresight, which I expect from a professional real estate agent who knows the process from A to Z. Matthijs, I thank you for the constructive phone call, but I really expect you to work proactively next time instead of waiting for a negative review until you take action. You can spar with a (special) seller on the back end, but if I don't notice anything about it, it still seems as if you are doing nothing and letting everything quietly run its course. I also hope that you will learn from all the hassle around this (sale). You put it at 1 star, you asked for 3, let's settle in the middle.
