Now, in a completely different phase of our lives, he stood by us again during the sale, a process that was anything but standard. Due to difficult personal circumstances, the house was in a neglected state. But where some might only see the surface, Julian looked with understanding, without judgment, and with full attention to the story behind it. He really listened. And during viewings, when viewers sometimes quickly formed an opinion, he immediately defended us. “You don’t know what happened here,” he said. “The man who lived here fought three times for the Netherlands in Afghanistan. Easy access to both the real estate agent and back office staff throughout the entire process. Our first-time buyers didn't secure financing initially, but this was handled quickly and professionally for a second round with equally good results. In short: simply well assisted.

30 Jul 2025We had an appraisal done here, as well as with Boumij for comparison. The difference between the two appraisals was over €85,000. Ultimately chose Boumij, and they actually sold the house for a much higher value. This clearly indicates that VDH Wonen is less familiar with the market. When we wanted to approach VDH Wonen to understand where the difference came from, they were not willing to discuss it. Very disappointing. Addition to the response of VDH: I actually worked with this party and provided substantive proof of this. After I stated that I would not deviate from my position, they made it unnecessarily personal. An extra reason to give 1 star.

They came well prepared, with two real estate agents to keep the valuation as objective as possible. The estimate seemed on the high side, but they kept their word. The mortgage process also went smoothly. Jaimy, the mortgage advisor, was pleasant to communicate with and gave clear advice. No moment of stress experienced.
