I rented an apartment for three years and everything was very well organized. I was very satisfied with the landlord, because he usually took care of everything in the house immediately. After I moved out, we left it in a good place and he said that I would get my deposit back. After I reminded him, he said that he would keep some money for the scratches on the floor (which I agreed to) and for cleaning the garden. Cleaning the garden was completely unreasonable and I still don't understand why I have to pay for that. He kept €250, which I find quite a lot for scratches on a floor. I rented a bungalow from Henk. The contract didn't mention anywhere that I would have to pay € 100,- for the final cleaning (despite him delivering me the property dirty and uncleaned). I've been trying to reach him for five months to get this money back, which he withheld without reason. I had to go to his office because, as I see it, this isn't the first time; he never picks up the phone. He told me that I had given him a dirty house because they had to clean it, and I explained that if you give me a dirty house, I don't return it spotless, which is only logical. Furthermore, he didn't say anything about the fact that the house was dirty (because it wasn't) or that a part of my deposit would be withheld when he came to pick up the keys on the last day of the contract.
