Together with Dichtbij vastgoed my apartment was sold within a week. What I really liked was that everything was arranged very quickly by Tom. Personal contact and attention to us as clients.

After a search with dramatic experiences, we came into contact with brokers and were introduced to Tom, who is rightfully driven, involved and reliable. Almost hit the mark with the first house, but for the second, Tom had it arranged on the day of the viewing and also quite a bit below the asking price!! That's something we didn't expect in this market. Can’t do anything other than recommend him as a (purchase) broker. We had asked Tom for an appraisal of our home. Tom gives open and honest advice with a personal approach. He has a good understanding of things and knows how to assess the property's value correctly. Tom comes across as enthusiastic and communicates pleasantly. A breath of fresh air compared to real estate agents from other (large) agencies we had. There you are customer number . They deliver no more than assembly line work with a universal view. They release a formula without looking at the surroundings, location, etc. Everything is focused on selling as quickly as possible and moving on to the next client. That is different with Tom. He takes all the time for his clients and does that extra bit that others leave behind. We can only wholeheartedly recommend Tom!!

I still feel guilty about nominating this Bessems realtor regarding the sale of my mother's house in Kanne. Will de Jonge was enormously enthusiastic and really wanted to take charge of this sale. This turned out differently because Will de Jonge suddenly no longer worked for Bessems Realty the week after our commitment. What I find utterly scandalous is that we were never informed about this. Will was our point of contact, would represent us in the sale of my mother's house. Forgotten perhaps? We are not talking about a bag of candy but about a house. A bad start. After this, the entire sale unfolded into one big drama, a chain reaction of very poor communication and many mistakes, too many to mention. All in all, a very stressful experience for everyone, but especially for my 85-year-old mother. I would therefore certainly not recommend this realtor.

In recent years, I have used the services of Erik Bessems several times. Among other things, for the purchase of a commercial building, the sale of our home, and an NWWI appraisal. Always to my full satisfaction! Both Erik and his colleagues are clear and correct in their communication and demonstrate commitment throughout the entire process.

Would I recommend this broker? No definitely not! I would even strongly advise against this office to anyone who asks for my opinion. This agency was allowed to sell my mother's house in Belgium. Initially, we dealt with broker Wil de Jonge from Bessems agency who really wanted to sell the house for us. Due to his enthusiasm for the assignment, my mother chose Bessems. However, when I went to hand over the keys at the office for the first viewing, I was told that Mr. de Jonge no longer worked for Bessems agency. The agency did not inform us about this and they could not tell me which broker would take over Mr. de Jonge's duties. After some insistence on my part, I received an email address where I could go with my questions. I emailed and am still waiting for a response to this day..... On the day of the viewing, I myself went to wait in the building to see which broker would take on our assignment. From that moment on, Mr. Kornips was our broker but we missed the involvement, advice and expertise you would expect from a broker. And even at the time of transfer with the notary, our broker remained deficient....the energy label had not been forwarded and there was a file missing which we were unaware existed. We had requested prior to the transfer for completeness assessment of the file but also there the broker did not respond. The buyer's notary withheld 5000 euros from the purchase price until we could provide the file. A lot of stress for us and our 85-year-old mother, therefore. And from the broker no recognition for their mistakes, no empathy but a well-deserved generous commission. Even our ability to rate on funda has been blocked by Bessems which makes me wonder how much those laudatory reviews actually mean if you block negative feedback. I say in any case 'brokerage firm Erik Bessems?!' NEVER AGAIN!

Especially the attitude in this case from Bessems was experienced by us as very disappointing. And when you then want to share your experience on Funda, they also took away that possibility by disabling this function for us. Even more disappointing. If only they were so quick in communication.
