We were guided by Coert from Centraal Makelaardij. After three viewings and two bids, we hit the jackpot: we bought our first house. Coert is a no-nonsense, down-to-earth professional who has helped us excellently through the entire process. In addition, he also carries out valuations and has a good eye for the condition and value of the house and can communicate this well. What you see is what you get – clear, honest and to-the-point.

I advise against working with them. I rented an apartment through their agency and although everything went smoothly during the rental period, the experience at the end was disappointing. They refused to carry out an inspection and said that I should contact the landlord directly to hand over the keys. I also did not receive my full deposit back.

I am an expat who, with my family, is moving from the United Kingdom to the Netherlands and had no idea where to start looking for a house. A colleague referred me to Marja and honestly, she was a lifesaver – so knowledgeable, warm, and helpful. It is a very difficult housing market, but Marja helped us find the right price and location, and how we could best present ourselves to landlords. I am very disappointed. These people are not trustworthy. My landlord, or maybe this real estate agency, has stolen a lot of money from me. First of all, there was no phone number of the landlord available to call or reach. Every time I called Nick or his colleagues, they said they were not responsible, while I had signed a contract with them. I bought a new house and had to leave my apartment earlier. I informed them three months in advance. They told me that the landlord would charge me a fine of 500 euros because I had left earlier. This is contrary to Dutch legislation. Do not trust them.

Professional and reliable real estate agents. Although my rental offer was rejected by the landlord, Nick and Nathalie were extremely nice and advised me professionally. My deposit was neatly and timely refunded.

Responsible and reliable I had a viewing with Centraal Makelaardij in June, for which I transferred hundreds of euros as a deposit. Unfortunately, I was not chosen by the landlord. The broker said they had transferred the deposit back to me, but I have received nothing. At first, I thought they were committing fraud, but then it turned out that the problem was with my bank. The broker had made the transfer, but the money remained somewhere in between. Rene, the broker from Centraal Makelaardij, has already communicated many times with his bank and me. He went with me to the ING bank in Haarlem to investigate where the money had gone. As I am an expat and just graduated, he even suggested lending me hundreds of euros if I had financial problems. Ultimately, I got my money back after two months of arguing with the bank. There are too many shenanigans, but precisely because of that, it has been proven that Centraal Makelaardij is a very responsible and reliable real estate agency. 👍👍
