Once we walked through the house, my friend pointed out that a lot, or actually the entire house, would need renovation. The male real estate agent was impossible to communicate with. He only responded with “that can be done” to every question. When my friend indicated that we wanted to make a counteroffer given the poor condition of the house in relation to the price, we were immediately turned away. We were astonished by this. Then he stated that he didn't approve of my friend’s attitude. Very bizarre. All possibilities to reach the market are creatively utilized. An excellent back office ensures that everything is handled efficiently and quickly in the office. The partners the real estate agent works with are of the same high level, such as for example the photographer. Good accessibility and quick responses. And perhaps most importantly: very personal guidance.

More than a year ago, we sold our farmhouse through Het Betere Boerenerf. We asked for quotes from several real estate agents at the time and ultimately chose this agency despite it being the most expensive. This led us to expect that we would be fully taken care of and provided with all advice. Unfortunately, that has not been the case. We were confronted with a hefty fine because Het Betere Boerenerf did not mention the energy label back then. We raised this issue with Het Betere Boerenerf. Long story short: they are unresponsive. The fine is for us. In short, an expensive real estate agency but the added value escapes us. A small follow-up: the realtor contacted us long after this review. He stated that his response was delayed because he first had to recover from such a review. Furthermore, his reaction was the same as with other negative reviews I find on the site. Namely, it's the customer’s fault and certainly not Het Betere Boerenerf’s. Moreover, he does want satisfied customers but only when the bill is with the customer and remains with the customer.

Van Dijk Real Estate is friendly and easily accessible, but our experience was ultimately disappointing. During the purchase process, everything seemed to be going smoothly, but on the day of transfer, it became clear how biased the real estate agent was towards the selling party. The property was not delivered empty and clean: there were still shelves and racks hanging on the wall, while it was clearly agreed that these would be removed. In addition, there were still lists, plant pots and other items left behind, and the garden was full of waste, broken glass and rubble. When we pointed this out during the final inspection before key transfer with the seller and the real estate agent, the seller reacted curtly that we shouldn't “nitpick,” and the real estate agent immediately took her side by saying that it wasn’t necessary to continue on this point. Notably, the real estate agent and seller indicated that they knew each other well and had bought and sold several properties together before. This perhaps explained why the real estate agent so clearly sided with the seller. In addition, we received incorrect information about the property, which further worsened our experience. We would not recommend Van Dijk Real Estate to buyers who expect fair and neutral guidance.
