The viewing we had did not go as we had hoped. Everything was told hastily and restlessly. It was obvious that we were the last viewers and the realtor would have preferred to be out the door even sooner than us.

Recently, our daughter purchased a house through this real estate agent. This is an old house so there's quite some work involved. During the viewing of this house, questions were asked to the resident that she couldn’t answer. She isn’t an expert, didn’t see or report any defects. The real estate agent seamlessly took over. During the viewing, defects were already reported by the buyer, also during the transfer. This was met with laughter and nothing was done about it. The list of defects is considerable. When renovating the house, even more defects came to light. The real estate agent and the seller are unresponsive and haven’t been heard from since. It's a shame this is how it was handled, especially as it’s our daughter’s first time buying a house. A worthless experience. After the transfer, the moisture problem was addressed. Then the real estate agent from overvoorde suddenly brings out a moisture meter and states that the moisture content is within the norm. Somewhat dishonest.

He is an unsympathetic broker with little/no technical knowledge. He provides no added value for either party during the sale/purchase of a property and is deceitful regarding documentation and appointments.

It is important to note that selling a house (relatively old and with quite a few defects), for which you still want to achieve the maximum price in a smooth way, is a different game than buying something new. I am not disappointed in any way. Throughout the entire sales process, which is now almost complete, I have been guided in a no-nonsense, professional and personal manner. I have no comparison material, but if I ever found myself in this situation again, I would choose Overvoorde again.
