real worthless service. for months i reported a leak, but they do nothing. the roof keeps leaking, stuff is damaged and they refuse to compensate anything. everything you have to arrange and pay yourself. they want the rent on time, but if something is wrong, they won't help you out. never again via this club. by the way, i still haven't got my money back for the water damage to my belongings.

The phone number doesn't work for tenants, only homeowners or landlords come with DC living to the line. Seems like they think only about profit, right? Just look at the amount of 1 star reviews they have, says enough.

Great desk! I've already rented multiple times from different desks in Groningen, but the service from DC Wonen is great! Good communication, transparency and quick response. They were polite when I asked them for a proof of the previous tenant's move-out (which in the past caused problems when I rented from another desk) and handled everything nicely; thanks Chiem. The only downside was that when replacing the locks in my building I got one key instead of two (which I originally had), which made it a bit more difficult with planned repairs etc.; I couldn't ask a friend to be present without arranging that I could hand over and pick up my only key. That said, it's a very small issue and I would still give 6/5 stars if I could!

My elderly stepfather has been offered an apartment after a few viewings. The price/quality ratio is excellent, there is clear communication about the order of steps to be taken. The handover is outstanding, everything is well documented and contact has also been made with the previous tenant. This allowed some items to be taken over. Very fast boys who treat you like a student. Together with my partner, I have a successful company and am a registered accountant. They then ask for a guarantee from our parents to rent an apartment while we actually make a very high profit every year. It all had to be done quickly too, with an immediate large upfront payment to DC Wonen instead of the landlord?! We got a really weird feeling about it. I would stay far away from here!

Wat een vreselijk makelaarskantoor. Ze reageren helemaal niet op Kamernet. Ik heb misschien wel 15 of meer aanvragen voor verschillende woningen verstuurd en geen enkele reactie ontvangen. Ik heb zelfs meerdere keren gemaild op sommige advertenties en nog steeds geen reactie gekregen. Het is al even gênant om hun website te gebruiken: je reageert op een woning waarin je geïnteresseerd bent en krijgt 3-4 weken later bericht dat deze al verhuurd is. Zin om je tijd en energie te verspillen? Praat dan tegen een muur of neem contact op met DC Wonen!

The speed with which you can get an inspection is in itself fine and we have nothing to object to that. It went quickly and smoothly, which is naturally pleasant. In the meantime we have had two inspections. During the first inspection, unfortunately, the real estate agent could not answer any questions directly, which did not leave a very professional impression with us. The second inspection was in itself okay. However, what disappointed us most was the communication afterwards. On both e-mails we sent after the inspections, we did not receive any response, while they said that we would receive feedback from them within a day. We followed up ourselves because otherwise we heard nothing. The responses we eventually received were, in our opinion, also written in a very unprofessional way, which I find a bit low-threshold for a real estate company. Afterwards we read the reviews of others and as a result, our trust in this company unfortunately disappeared. Based on our experience, we would not look for a rental property through this company again in the future.

House in terrible condition and is not maintained. Mold and recurring leaks plus shading are not repaired because they do not find it worthwhile to invest in the house. When they suddenly decide to show up, they stand without communication right in your bathroom.

I was an international student who lived in the house for about 9 months during the academic year 2022-2023. I hadn't really had the time and opportunity to write a review until now. It was a terrible experience, which started from the very first day of my move-in. When I moved in, the kitchen was a mess (I have attached a video of the kitchen at the moment I entered the house). There were empty bottles, crumbs and stains everywhere on the countertop. The trash bins in the backyard were full to the brim. There was waste stacked up next to the trash bins. It took one of my housemates and me 4 hours to clean up the kitchen. We couldn't follow the pickup schedule because there was still waste from previous occupants lying around. There were two abandoned containers in the backyard that were no longer accepted by the municipality. Omrin told me that those containers had not been accepted for a year already. Those containers were still full of waste when I moved in and made a pickup appointment with Omrin. During my stay, I had to contact the agent, Robert, several times but I usually got slow responses from him, sometimes he didn't respond to my emails at all. Slow, like a week or two. I remember that my housemates and I sometimes asked him the same thing, and he responded to my housemates but not to me. I didn't get a response from him, despite having sent him multiple emails at different times. Once, after I had moved in, I asked him to keep a letter for me because it was important to me and I wasn't in the Netherlands at that time. I asked if he could give me a contact person of someone who lived in that house so that I could talk directly to that person about picking up my letter. He said he could keep the letter for me, but after some time he said I could just knock and ask for it. I knocked a few times until someone was home. However, everything was handled and there was no trace of my letter. Honestly speaking, this is not the biggest problem. It's at least an example of how irresponsible a real estate agent can be. The worst thing about this situation is that our deposit was withheld without valid reason. As mentioned above, the house was full of waste on the day we moved in. We couldn't empty the containers on the day we moved out, and it's also not our responsibility to do so if they are left behind. Apparently Robert thought otherwise. I paid €385 deposit, and he gave me back €274.12. I asked for the bill to check if we had consumed more gas, sewage and electricity than we paid, but he didn't send me the exact bill. I sent him multiple emails requesting a bill, but he kept refusing to provide the documents. I asked him why the deposit was withheld, and he said that he had to pay for the cost of cleaning up the waste. Well, excuse me? Why was the house such a mess when we moved in then? It's almost a year ago, but I'm still angry about it. I have attached screenshots of our WhatsApp conversation. When I sent him the video I had made when I arrived there, and also the video that is attached to this message, he claimed it wasn't true. Then he sent me a screenshot of a video he had made in June of the house, when he showed me the video during a viewing. He claimed that the photo showed how the house looked on the day we moved in. That makes no sense at all. That guy didn't even try to hide the recording date. I moved in on 31-8-2022 and he showed me a screenshot of a video he had made in June 2022, claiming it was exactly the condition of the house when we moved in. This is the WORST rental experience of my life. I have sought legal advice and they said that the contract was very complicated. Some articles were removed, but remained ominous. The advisor also said that he knew we wouldn't be able to afford the legal costs for a lawsuit, because that would cost more than the amount we lost.

Much is promised on the front end, however things are handled poorly afterwards. Poorly accessible by phone!

De verhuurder is een absolute nachtmerrie om mee om te gaan. De warmte-isolatie is zo goed als afwezig en er is constant sprake van ongedierte. Onderhoudsverzoeken worden volledig genegeerd. Bovendien zijn basisinstallaties slordig uitgevoerd - zo is bijvoorbeeld het slot van de voordeur slecht gemonteerd (zoals te zien op de foto's).

Terrible experience. The apartment was nice, but they kept calling to arrange some sort of access control. They said they could come in even if we weren't home, because they had a copy of the keys. The customer service is terrible. Every time we called with a problem (we had no hot water in one of the two bathrooms) they said they couldn't do anything about it, because it was a handyman's problem. They asked for a huge deposit and after two months we hadn't gotten a penny back. After three weeks of constant calling, texting and e-mailing they said it wasn't their problem. Completely unprofessional, all in all a terrible experience.
