Contact ran through my husband but often via WhatsApp. Even when a viewing would take place within an hour, the real estate agent cancelled 20 minutes beforehand via a message instead of calling. Critical experience with interest representation - Mark Bikker UPDATE: It's remarkable that this office considers my asking price for an authentic villa, newly built (466 m², BENG, 27 concrete piles), as 'well above market value'. Meanwhile, the same office is offering an apartment in the same Lower Giessen for Mark Bikker for almost € 1.200.000,-. If a apartment with shared walls apparently is 'market conform' for 1,2M, how can a unique, authentic villa with double the volume and absolute foundation security then be 'too expensive' for 1.4M? It smells like protecting their own new build interests at the expense of authentic real estate. Fortunately, buyers can calculate themselves. The numbers don't lie, but apparently the advice does. My experiences with Mark Bikker have raised serious questions for me about how interests are represented. In an earlier project, where he acted as a sales agent, I received information as a buyer that strongly suggested it was about the seller's minimum. This gave me a clear advantage as a buyer, but at the same time raised questions about how the seller's interests were weighed in that process. Recently, I came back into contact with him again, this time around the sale of my own home (high-end 2025-rebuild, BENG A+). In that case, I had the impression that the emphasis was mainly on price pressure, while aspects such as technical quality, finishing and investment level were in my opinion not sufficiently taken into account in the valuation. My personal experience is that this did not give me the trust I expected from such projects. I advise sellers to critically look at how their interests are represented and how valuations come about.
