Never again. I stayed in Rijswijk. Although it was extremely expensive, the house was okay, more or less as pictured, but with many defects in the apartment (including a front door that didn't close properly). My problems had little to do with my real estate agent Luna, who unfortunately had left VERRA but was very helpful, and more to do with the landlord of the house (Rental Ocean). They never responded to emails and rarely to phone calls. During my stay, the vacuum cleaner and coffee table (which were already old and partially broken) broke down, and it took about a month to replace them. Additionally, I caused a small scratch on the wall. I had arranged for a repairman through Rental Ocean to fix it, but he never showed up. When I contacted Rental Ocean for information, they also did not respond. They said that I should fix it myself, which I did, and then told me that I needed to repaint the entire wall. Seriously? How am I supposed to paint an entire wall? When I left the house, it took about three months before they returned my deposit, despite my persistent emails. In my last email, I even had to threaten to call a lawyer. Eventually, I found out that in addition to withholding €120 for the wall, they also withheld €75 for cleaning?!? How is this possible? The house was spotlessly clean, and I have videos and photos. Truly scandalous. Unreliable.
