When we were the only ones who made an offer, they tried to get us to raise the price. While this was happening, time ran out and we placed a bid on another house. When they finally said that they would ask the owner again if we would raise the price, we waited for a new bid. If it wasn't accepted, we might accept it. The next response we received was: 'We don’t want to be your second choice, negotiations are over' :) Normally you either accept the offer or not, you can’t make us wait for a higher price and expect us not to look at other houses during this time. Furthermore, if you decide, we are ready to buy. They didn’t even respond to my email. When the offers were announced, I saw that you received an offer from someone else on the day he said negotiations were over. What a coincidence! It would have been more honorable to say openly “we got a higher bid, we will accept it” than this nonsense.

I have never been received as a buyer with such disinterest, what a distance I experienced during the tour. There was little to no opportunity to view the property, although it was my dream home.....I would never have proceeded with the purchase. Perhaps the real estate agent had a bad day, but in my opinion, he should have rescheduled the appointment. In good times, the real estate agent may be able to permit this, but during the difficult times that are coming, no property will be sold in this way. Very bad experience with this real estate professional. He doesn't keep appointments and hardly communicates at all. This has led to us withdrawing (very good) offer on a renovation property and no longer wanting to work together with him and his partners.
