Contacted RE/MAX again in DECEMBER 2021. I needed an appraisal report on short notice. The day after my request, Bert van der Krogt was at the door and after about ten days, I had my report. One time they blame it on a “bug” in their system and another time on it ending up in the spam folder. Also things like receiving a message at 00:30 am about an appointment for the same morning and whether you can open the door because the realtor cannot themselves. Be wise and sometimes a cheap deal is not the best.

The photos were great and I think they really helped with the marketing of the house. Rob took the time to make sure we did everything we needed to do, because selling a house in the Netherlands is very different than in the United Kingdom. We will be sad to leave this house, but we wish the new owners a nice life there.

By having the appraisal done here for the purchase of a home, we either had to pay an additional 10,000 euro or have another paid appraisal done by another party because the first appraisal was not real. Unfortunately, we had to incur extra costs as a result, which we could have prevented by not choosing Kleurrijk Makelaars.

He was always on time, took the time to explain everything clearly and had an incredible amount of patience with all our questions. What we particularly appreciated was the extensive introductory conversation at the beginning. Erwin really wanted to know who we are, what kind of life we lead, what is important to us and how we imagine a future home. Afterwards, he helped us specifically in finding suitable homes and always accompanied us to the viewings. His advice was always honest and well-considered. Because I can be quite enthusiastic myself, I thought it was great that Erwin sometimes also slowed me down, so that I wouldn't make hasty decisions. He also thought along with my wife Ryanne – if she couldn’t be there, he often said: “I think this is not for Ryanne.” That really showed how well he listened and how involved he was. Erwin always communicated clearly and was easily accessible, both by phone and via messages. Thanks to his guidance, we eventually found a beautiful home that perfectly suits us, both in terms of wishes and budget. We were also well guided through the financial part. Through Erwin, we came into contact with Martijn, our financial advisor, and that too went smoothly and professionally. What was also nice: if Erwin couldn't come along once, Sander or Dimitris were ready for us. They brought the same warmth and involvement with them, making us always feel comfortable. We are incredibly grateful for everything that Erwin (and the entire team) has done for us. I wholeheartedly recommend him and his colleagues to everyone looking for a house. My younger brother even bought through them after I told him about our experience. That says enough!

For several months now, we have experienced significant problems with the tenant renting this location. Reporting to the owner and Mares has not been helpful. It concerns a garage box that we had hoped would be used for parking cars. However, in practice, we see that this tenant runs a commercial car business and sells cars. It is difficult to watch as potential buyers frequently double park their cars and negotiate the purchase price of their new vehicle right in front of the garage. Additionally, we notice that public parking spaces are being used to park cars that do not fit inside the garage box. Cars with green license plates are parked at various locations around our neighborhood, forcing direct neighbors to find parking elsewhere.

Date unknown!!! I will not recommend Emil NVM Makelaar to an expat!!! We were lucky that as first-time buyers we purchased a house without any prior knowledge of the buying process in the Netherlands. We felt that we did not receive the support we expected from Emil Makelaar. At first, we were told that they would arrange the viewings for us, but later they said that we had to arrange the viewings ourselves. Also, we did not receive the right guidance in determining the amount of our offer, because after the viewing we were never informed about the pros and cons of the property. The purchase agreement was in Dutch, and they never thoroughly reviewed those documents or helped us understand their content. Our advisor gave more guidance than they did. I would not recommend their services to expats.

An arrogant young punk who droned on a monotonous tune as if he was on repeat and only interested in his mobile phone and found the viewer disruptive. What a drama that was, but actually laughable and pathetic...
