When you put your house up for sale, you know there are no guarantees. You have to just happen upon that buyer who is looking for your house at that particular moment. The whole process is uncertain and also depends quite a bit on bad luck/good luck. We are fully aware of this. Perhaps we had too high expectations, but if you engage a real estate agent for such an exciting process and pay them quite a lot, you hope for proactive, customer-oriented and personal communication with a clear strategic plan in mind. That is what we missed. We felt like a 'number'. Often, we had to do the follow-up ourselves on matters and make suggestions regarding the sales approach.
