06 Oct 2025Some things went really well, other things not at all. Everything else is fine but I would not let my house be sold again through the laen next time. Plus points: - photos are great, good description of the house - nice telephone operator - the initial conversation was also good - the last real estate agent, unfortunately only did the last viewings, I really felt that she was trying to sell my house. - the closing was also okay Minus points: - if you have 10 viewings, they think that's enough, all other interested parties are put on a reserve list. - already a sold sign in your garden while your house is just sold under reservation and everything is therefore not yet final. - the first viewings I did not have a very enthusiastic real estate agent. I've had quite a stomach ache from this because they are all potential buyers. I really felt that my house had to sell itself, you feel a bit cheated when you have to pay them 2% of the total amount. I would have preferred to give this to my purchase real estate agent who was worth double. For me, the laen comes across as only wanting to make money quickly and not wanting to sell your house as well as possible, which makes that 10.000 more or less for them. I found this really unfortunate because for me it is a lot of money. And then there's also the fact that I have to pay them quite a bit on top.

Good name! Trust comes walking and goes riding. Even if there is sometimes a problem or negative outcome, I know my wife and her colleagues no differently than that they will handle it to try and resolve it for everyone in a win-win situation.

One time they blame it on a “bug” in their system and another time on it ending up in the spam folder. Also things like receiving a message at 00:30 am about an appointment for the same morning and whether you can open the door because the realtor cannot themselves. Be wise and sometimes a cheap deal is not the best.

The photos were great and I think they really helped with the marketing of the house. Rob took the time to make sure we did everything we needed to do, because selling a house in the Netherlands is very different than in the United Kingdom. We will be sad to leave this house, but we wish the new owners a nice life there.

By having the appraisal done here for the purchase of a home, we either had to pay an additional 10,000 euro or have another paid appraisal done by another party because the first appraisal was not real. Unfortunately, we had to incur extra costs as a result, which we could have prevented by not choosing Kleurrijk Makelaars.

06 Sep 2025From the beginning, incredibly poor communication. We are constantly promised to be contacted, but it never happens. Heard 6 weeks before the handover that there was a 4-week delay, everything had to be cancelled, annulled and postponed. We had to initiate contact ourselves, otherwise we wouldn't have heard anything at all. At the time of key transfer, the entire house was still full of belongings from the old owner. The real estate agent did nothing about this! The notary said that a mortgage should not have been arranged in this situation and the sale should not have gone ahead. The skylight turned out to be broken and unable to close. No suitable solution was found here either, and we were referred to the old owner, with whom we do not want any contact. Various items/appliances had to remain behind during the handover; these were on the street with the bulky waste. Again, no responsibility was taken and we were not helped, even though it was blacked out in writing on the list of takeover items. We had to help clear the house for 4 hours together with the former resident because otherwise we wouldn't have been able to move in on time. In addition, all visitors who wanted to come by in the afternoon had to be cancelled. Unfortunately, buying our first home has become a dark day, which should actually have been one of the most beautiful days ever. A sad affair.

Date unknownWe were looking for a real estate agent to sell our house. The agent came by, a nice man on the surface, but totally unprepared. That seemed very uninterested. He mainly emphasized that he sold houses in another neighborhood for 15% more than another agent from the village. He didn't pick up on the fact that we didn't find that so interesting but were more interested in how houses were being sold in our neighborhood and what his advice was. He couldn't give any advice about the selling price because he hadn’t done any preliminary research. The other 2 real estate agents (out of which we ultimately chose one) were well prepared and immediately came with good and realistic advice. But anyway, that wasn't the worst thing. He said he would call us back the next morning with advice about the selling price. You can guess it, never heard anything again. Called the office, they said they would pass it on but a week later still nothing. Called again to say that we didn’t think this was very nice, but there was no reaction to that either. Afterwards, after some inquiries in the village, we heard more experiences like this. So if you are looking for an uninterested real estate agent, you have come to the right place.

It’s a shame you react like this. We have explained to you how the sales process will proceed. In doing so, you and all other interested parties receive a fair and equal chance. First to view the property and study the information, and then possibly submit a bid. We haven't adjusted the sales process because you requested it. That’s not how things work, of course. We understand that you may find this unpleasant, but we have no understanding for this review. The sales procedure is still ongoing and initially you still have as much chance as everyone else. When you ultimately make the best bid (for the seller), you can still become a buyer. Be aware that 'the best bid' is not solely determined by the highest price. The seller determines who becomes the buyer based on the quality of the bids and 'gunning'.
