We felt that we did not receive the support we expected from Emil Makelaar. At first, we were told that they would arrange the viewings for us, but later they said that we had to arrange the viewings ourselves. Also, we did not receive the right guidance in determining the amount of our offer, because after the viewing we were never informed about the pros and cons of the property. The purchase agreement was in Dutch, and they never thoroughly reviewed those documents or helped us understand their content. Our advisor gave more guidance than they did. I would not recommend their services to expats.
