24 Mar 2025Unfortunately, we had a disappointing experience with the realtor who showed us the house, Coen. We were slightly late for the viewing, but we had called beforehand and were assured that it would not be a problem. The intern we spoke to was polite and helpful, but Coen was rude and unwelcoming. He didn't even walk with us through the house, and we felt uncomfortable asking questions because he seemed rushed and grumpy. All in all, it was an unpleasant experience and left a negative impression of the realtor and even of the house itself. Absolutely terrible.

24 Jan 2024Another arrogant realtor! Absolutely no time for the buyer, the realtor runs through an entire house in 7 minutes and you're standing outside again with your bid form. I still remember proudly announcing that there were many bids well above the asking price. Bid form filled out and then never heard anything more.

07 Nov 2025Barry was recommended by a girlfriend who had engaged the Mayor of Real Estate to help find an apartment in Amsterdam as quickly as possible. He helped her find an apartment that met all her requirements and fit within her budget within a few weeks. I got in touch with him after having viewed apartments for weeks and rejected offers. After two months of searching, I found an apartment that really appealed to me, so I decided to approach Barry and try my luck. Within four days of the collaboration, the offer was accepted. The entire process went smoothly and the real estate agent was present throughout. I can wholeheartedly recommend Barry, because he is transparent, realistic, very knowledgeable and knows almost all real estate agents/notaries in the city, which is very handy during bidding negotiations.

As expected, we ended up in a challenging market, swinging back and forth between making a winning bid and bidding at a reasonable level to justify the mortgage value. 07 Jun 2025They sell apartments without knowing the division of ownership deeds, let alone pointing this out to potential buyers. Years of conflict within the HOA is not mentioned to the buyers. Moreover, they lie about the proportions within the HOA and make it look better than it is. I warned Manuela about this but she didn't care. It is prohibited and unethical. However, she doesn't care about that.

07 May 2025We rented an apartment through Prestige Housing. Manuela (real estate manager/not a real estate owner) presents herself as very professional and cooperative, but that is absolutely an illusion. When we moved in, we discovered that several things were broken and needed to be repaired. For some things, it took more than six months to get them fixed, while quite a bit of money had to be paid monthly. She didn't allow me to contact the owner of the property myself to resolve some issues. Fortunately, he is very collegial and reasonable. Something that Manuela clearly isn’t. I would not recommend working with her as a tenant or real estate owner. Her way of communicating is very unpleasant and unreasonable. 2nd review (after rental period) after we left the apartment, it got even worse. Manuela texted me that I should remove this 1-star review. Her argument; my review is incorrect. She even threatened me with legal action if I didn’t remove this review. In my opinion, this portrays Manuela in all respects. In our case, she did not take responsibility for her negligence during our rental period. It was a complete nightmare for me and my family to have her as a property manager.

I had my apartment for rent through a real estate agent for a month and it wasn't rented out. Prestige Housing took different photos, a different description. Within a few days I had three viewings and within a week it was rented out. Clear price agreements. Highly recommended.

07 Jan 2026Very negative experience with the real estate agent of this office: Ivette Ruijters. The pre-inspection and final inspection together lasted almost two hours, with the focus clearly on finding reasons to keep the deposit. During the inspection, it was literally said: “then we'll do an extra round to maybe discover more.” Mrs. Ruijters' attitude was intimidating, personal and deliberately unkind. Instead of remaining professional and businesslike, mean and belittling remarks were made. Her approach felt hostile and careless, and in my opinion is far from what you may expect from a properly acting real estate agent. In addition, promises such as forwarding mail and packages to my new address were not fulfilled. All in all a very unpleasant experience. I would absolutely not recommend Ivette Ruijters.

As an NVM real estate agent, we take the final inspection and handing over of a property very seriously. We do this to protect the interests of both tenant and landlord. That damage has been found during the final inspection which needs to be deducted from the deposit is of course never a pleasant message for a tenant. We understand that this can be frustrating. However, we are bound by the actual condition of the property as it was left and the reimbursement is in line with the actual costs for repairs and replacement. We do not identify with the described image of how it was handled. Our approach is always businesslike and professional. If there are any letters left, we will of course send them on to you again. So this time there was no doubt in our minds that we wanted to hire him again as our agent. He has extensive knowledge of the real estate market, is very professional, acts quickly, always keeps his promises, and calls regularly with updates. At the same time, it feels very familiar to me; he takes personal circumstances into account, gives sound advice, and is also very honest. His strategy as an agent is superb, and we are really mega satisfied with him and his team! Within 1.5 weeks our home was sold (the first time around too). So do yourself a favor and hire De Makelaers! They deserve top marks in every way (or better yet, double the score!).
