Akash Dhuney from ADD Makelaardij managed our rent of € 3.800 per month, but since the move it was a disaster: the apartment was dirty and not properly prepared, which forced us to pay for cleaning (which, as agreed, was deducted from the rent), and there was furniture of poor quality, such as a missing desk/drawer, a sagging/stained mattress, a broken kitchen chair with peeling leather, a non-matching/damaged TV with noise, and an unhygienic, stained sofa. Communication broke down early on with rude accusations ('Do you not understand English?'), threats of the police due to a misunderstanding about a payment in good faith, and delays in signing the contract needed for BSN/IND registration, despite Akash claiming to be the intermediary between landlords and tenants. Due to ongoing neglect, urgent defects were ignored, such as a leaking shower (worn parts), a non-functional bathroom exhaust fan causing mold growth, an unregulated heating system, a leaking refrigerator, a broken washing machine (useless for days) and increasing mold in the shower – all issues that hinder livability in the dwelling. Dutch law requires that real estate agents/landlords remedy these immediately upon notification. Akash refused to fully cooperate after evasive answers, acted opaquely and was not trustworthy – non-Indian tenants risk being scammed through delays and failure to meet obligations, while he continues to collect fees. Avoid ADD Makelaardij; document everything and know your rights to enforce repairs or take legal action. 1/5 stars.

Pure oplichting. Het contract was gebaseerd op een irrelevant model voor een appartement dat niets te maken had met het (vervallen, door ongedierte geteisterde en veel te dure) huis. Onze borg is na 6 maanden nog steeds niet terug en ze hebben de prijs illegaal verhoogd, ondanks andere afspraken. Wanneer de medewerkers al contact opnemen, doen ze dat op een onprofessionele en oneerlijke manier. We zijn voorgelogen en in de steek gelaten, bedankt voor niets! -10 sterren.

I find it great.

One of the worst real estate agencies in Amsterdam, absurd prices for bird cages instead of a house. Two years ago they tried to rent us a studio by pretending it was a house. This time we approached them without even getting an answer about houses. They are unprofessional and not very clear during viewings. It seems like something is hidden that they absolutely do not want to tell their clients. Beware of them, they are the worst.

Very bad. They placed a bid on an apartment via email instead of calling. Well, that's fine too. And then you email back with agreement and subsequently hear nothing more. They don’t answer the phone, they don’t reply to emails. They don’t call back. I wouldn't let them sell or buy a house here.

Over het algemeen heb ik een erg goede ervaring gehad met het huren van een appartement via ADD Makelaardijk gedurende twee jaar. Hij was makkelijk te bereiken als er iets gerepareerd moest worden of als er problemen waren met de radiator. Ook ging de magnetron na een week al kapot, maar hij heeft hem vervangen. Toen we het contract verlengden, steeg de huurprijs vanwege de markt, maar hij heeft er een nieuwe wasmachine bijgeplaatst.
