We verbleven met onze familie (in totaal 10 personen) in Kievitenlaan 2 en hadden meer dan genoeg ruimte voor iedereen. De locatie is fantastisch en de verhuurder was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam, wat ons verblijf over het algemeen aangenaam maakte. Helaas werd deze positieve indruk aanzienlijk bedorven door de staat van het huis. Over het algemeen oogt de accommodatie nogal gedateerd en was niet erg schoon bij aankomst. De foto's laten enkele voorbeelden zien: vuile terrastegels en tuinmeubelen (sommige zwaar bevuild met vogelpoep), vlekken op ramen en jaloezieën, en duidelijke tekenen van slijtage en beschadiging aan het meubilair (bijv. afgebroken fronten en geïmproviseerde reparaties in de keuken). We waren vooral bezorgd over een spotje in de keuken dat zo heet werd dat het bijna een keukendeur in brand zette – dit moet absoluut worden aangepakt. Voor een kort verblijf is het huis nog steeds acceptabel, vooral vanwege de goede locatie en de hoeveelheid ruimte die het biedt. Wie echter waarde hecht aan netheid, veiligheid en een goed onderhouden woning, moet hier geen al te hoge verwachtingen hebben.
Wij, of liever gezegd ons gezin, hebben al meerdere keren een accommodatie gehuurd bij Van Acker en waren altijd tevreden. Deze recensie gaat echter over ons meest recente verblijf. Er waren drie problemen met het appartement: het rolgordijn werkte niet, de hoes van het zonnescherm rammelde luid en was duidelijk binnen te horen, en de kraan in de gastenbadkamer bleef constant lopen en kon niet worden dichtgedraaid. Al deze problemen werden op de eerste of tweede dag gemeld. Helaas was geen van de problemen opgelost toen we vertrokken. Dit is teleurstellend, aangezien we tijdens onze vorige verblijven een betere service hebben ervaren.
Enorme keuze aan kantoorartikelen, eerlijke prijzen en zeer eerlijke klantenservice, een aanrader!
It would be great to only be able to rate the accommodation, since I only had contact with the local agent for two seconds, so I can't say much about them. The accommodation is intended for four people. We were there as a couple. I realize that the houses (garden houses) are all a bit older, but they are modernly equipped. However, they should regularly replace the sleeping facilities and mattresses, not just because they are worn out. For me, the environment was the only relaxing factor, but unfortunately not the sleep quality. I would not rent or recommend this accommodation again.
We boeken hier al jaren regelmatig vakantiehuizen met verschillende families. De huizen zijn erg divers, dus er is voor ieder wat wils en voor elk budget. Het personeel op kantoor is buitengewoon vriendelijk en behulpzaam bij elke vraag, groot of klein. We komen er altijd graag terug.

The fact that I've booked it so often already says enough.
Fabulous accommodations in top locations at fair prices – exceptions prove the rule ... once the leather sofa was completely worn out, but otherwise the accommodations are always well equipped and maintained. Good website; booking requests are easy. Confirmation is sent quickly during office hours. Also on site, the service is smooth and friendly. Communication flows smoothly, even in German. You receive a welcome package with a dishcloth, dish brush, dishwasher tablets, garbage bags, matches and a roll of toilet paper. Good service. It is annoying that linen packages (towels, bed linens) must be booked separately at an extra charge and then are not present in the accommodation, let alone made up. We also received towels once that were completely worn out and partially stained, while they clearly had just been washed. So we had to return them and exchange them or reluctantly pay the rather high price. Neither option is ideal. Nevertheless, we have been very satisfied regular customers for years. Cadzand-Bad is our second home, and we have been returning there at least once a year since childhood. Otherwise, we miss something ... and our children now think exactly the same. See you later!

Friendly people and very customer-focused. Even after the purchase, they are there to give you advice and you can contact them if something is not clear.
Zeer vriendelijk, en de accommodaties zijn schoon en in goede staat. We hebben verschillende makelaars in Cadzand geprobeerd, maar Van Akker is de beste. Natuurlijk kun je in elke accommodatie wel iets op aan te merken vinden, maar dat ligt vaak aan de verhuurder. Ik denk dat Van Akker een goed oog heeft voor mooie vakantiebestemmingen. Ik zou zeker weer met hen samenwerken.
We had to pay a deposit of €100 because of the dogs. We got this deposit back in full three days after our departure, without us receiving any reminder. The communication was very friendly and clear. However, the cabin was only half clean. I got the impression that we left it cleaner than when we found it.
A nice and cozy place for a cup of coffee or lunch. I haven't gone there for dinner yet, but that's my plan. The prices are very reasonable and it's child-friendly. There are also possibilities to organize a party or business event.

Our little house was very nice, bright and equipped with all comforts. The garden was fenced, which was ideal for dogs. There were a few ants on the terrace, but they disappeared soon again. All in all a wonderful vacation in a beautiful environment.

Never again Van Akker! Despite the pandemic, entry and exit restrictions, closed restaurants and a 10-day quarantine in the Netherlands (beach visits prohibited), cancellation was impossible. Other rental companies handled this completely differently. We had to pay 50% of the trip cost. Friends of ours, who had booked with another rental company, could rebook without any problems. If we had known all this in advance, we would not have booked with Van Akker. Van Akker has now even included their inflexible policy in the general terms and conditions.

It's better to pay the cleaning costs of € 50; these will be added to your account if you skip them and go looking for small things to charge for the cleaning costs. We found the apartment with hair on the bed and some of the dishes were unwashed. It is better to complain about such things in advance than to clean them up yourself out of politeness.

Ik kan alleen maar de tip herhalen om de schoonmaakkosten correct te betalen! We kregen foto's toegestuurd die zogenaamd zouden bewijzen hoe vies we het huis hadden achtergelaten. Dit is gewoonweg niet waar! We zijn verbijsterd door deze gang van zaken. We hebben zoiets nog nooit meegemaakt bij andere verhuurbedrijven in al die jaren dat we er gebruik van maken. Bij aankomst werd mijn man verteld dat we 50 euro te weinig hadden betaald. Dit klopt niet; we hebben het volledige bedrag betaald. Vervolgens werd hem gevraagd om die 50 euro onmiddellijk en contant te betalen! We zullen hier NOOIT meer een huis boeken.
We always booked our vacation accommodation in Cadzand-Bad through them. Unfortunately, they no longer offer our favorite apartment, so we went somewhere else for 2020.
