In 2021 many homes were viewed and purchased. Had a lot of contact with various real estate agents, no experience gained with the Hague realtor at that time. Because I am looking around again for a somewhat larger apartment, I requested a viewing for an apartment that was listed on Funda by this realtor. I was immediately called to schedule a date. On the day of the viewing, I was called whether it could be at another time due to a double appointment, a bit sloppy but it can happen. Viewed the apartment, had some advantages and a few disadvantages, asked if they had any extra documents regarding the VVE (homeowners association), which is not entirely unimportant with an apartment; he did not have those and also no business card. This is what I am used to, a bit sloppy. Just send an email to the Hague realtor. Did that immediately, let a few days pass and sent another email, again no response. A shame but I must agree with the negative Google reviews. Extra info, he contacted me by phone and still delivered the information. He was open to my feedback and indicated that there was no deliberate intent in the game but that it slipped through.

Following a very bad experience with another real estate agency, I was looking for a new one. I ended up at De Haagsche Makelaar. From the first contact, they came across as very pleasant to me. Marijn and Kasper took all the time for me and listened well to what I wanted. They did an excellent job despite my difficult-to-sell property, due to its illogical layout, and due to the poor sales period. If I were to sell my current house again, I would definitely return to De Haagsche Makelaar.

Should the people of De Haagsche Makelaar read this and deny it, I recorded the conversation at the time. It immediately seemed dubious. They asked for brokerage fees, and the day before signing the rental agreement, we were called that the brokerage fees were suddenly €100 more unless we paid them in cash. When signing the rental agreement, we stated that these brokerage fees are not legal because they do not work on our behalf. In response, we were threateningly told that there were plenty of others interested in the rental property and that they could easily find others. Well, alright, we transferred the brokerage fees to the scoundrels anyway. After this, we had to wait for several weeks for the check-in report. The highlight here was that Ronald said we hadn't behaved properly during the check-in and that he might not send the check-in report because of it. This is the world turned upside down, Ronald! Subsequently, the check-in report turns out to be missing some things and contains a few items that were never present in the apartment. Advice for everyone who wants to rent through De Haagsche Makelaar: Don't do it and look for it through another broker!

Very friendly service and willingness to collaborate meant that I immediately found a home that I was looking for at a nicely negotiated price... top!! Definitely in this difficult housing market.

At the time I made a telephone appointment for a viewing of a rental apartment (free sector) in mid-July last with De Haagsche Makelaar (DHM), they were working on a new setup of the office team and moving to Nieuwe Parklaan 17, The Hague. A real estate agency with flexibility and speed of processing, with special thanks to Marijn Bartelink and his team. No hassle with mandatory registrations in advance, login procedures, waiting lists for an appointment. For me as someone aged 65+, this was a particularly great advantage/relief after seeing these procedures at other real estate agencies. The sale of my then-apartment was also a quick procedure. Everything excellently arranged!

This real estate office is a scam. They gave me an appointment, but never showed up. When I called, they just let me wait and said they would call me back 'sooner or later'. They never did. Later I found out that they weren't even allowed to make an appointment for the apartment, because another real estate office had it already... Very bad service. Rude on the phone. DO NOT USE THIS REAL ESTATE OFFICE!

Cowboys! Feedback could be much better. First week called daily, always no reaction from the landlord. The following week waited, no reaction. Third week on Monday to hear that it is rented out. With this broker you have to call yourself every day. Don't expect feedback. Service is very bad. However, when you proceed directly to renting, I do not dispute that this is your broker and they also take care of you. Remember that a customer (the tenant) can always be a customer.....gentlemen!

Take note! The company made us move to a different apartment than agreed (we had no choice, as we were moving to another country; the original apartment was given to the 'owner's niece'). The apartment offered to us had a number of issues, including water damage. The company also charges fees that you no longer need to pay in the Netherlands. You can reclaim those.
