I don't like the 'passing the buck' mentality in stores but also not in service provision. When my wife and I were looking for a house, we had quite a bit to deal with regarding real estate agents. One of them told us first to figure out/view the house and if we wanted to buy it, she would help us with the paperwork. We couldn't leave search requests with her. Apparently, things are going too well for the real estate agents! Ultimately, we ended up with ViaAnca Makelaardij, where we were calmly and very professionally addressed by Anca Zweers-Been. She listens first (!), then she quickly thinks and then gives an answer that matters. And if she had to find something out before answering, she did so and then gave an answer. Instead of saying: “can’t do it sir”, “is no longer made sir” and all those other possibilities… And I don't want anything more. She mediated on our behalf, keeping all parties satisfied; you have to be able to do that! In conclusion, you could say that Anca doesn't need to mask incompetence with terribly many words that are irrelevant; she has been doing this for a long time and you feel it as a customer too. If I wanted to buy a new house every week (pffff!) I would visit Anca every week, Hats off!
