My husband and I had a disappointing experience with Laura and I feel it's important to write this review, because we were misled by the positive reviews. Laura requests a portion of her fee as a deposit / 'startup costs' (at that time 750 euros). This should have been a warning, because the common practice of buyer's brokers in the Dutch real estate market is a success fee ('no cure, no pay'), which means that the client/buyer usually pays nothing upfront. Payment is usually only due when a suitable property has been found and actually purchased by the client. We were looking for a home without noise pollution and in an upscale neighborhood of Maastricht and surrounding areas. However, Laura mainly sent us properties that did not meet the criteria at all, for example, a house next to a runway of Maastricht Airport! Another property was located near a busy highway, and instead of advising against it, she made us travel 3 hours one way for a viewing. She also proposed houses in less attractive neighborhoods of Maastricht, such as Mariaberg and the surrounding area 'Parkstad'. We got the impression that her contacts with good selling brokers were very limited, so she tried to convince us to buy one of the remaining houses on the market, hoping that unsuspecting expats would not notice the problems. Fortunately, and thanks to our own extensive research for each proposed property, we didn't make that mistake. It ultimately escalated when we decided to extend our search to another region in Limburg that was not in our written agreement with Laura and where she had no contacts. We let her know what we were planning and initially she agreed in writing. A week later, however, she indicated that she could not go along with it because of the risk that she would be working 'for nothing'. So she cancelled our contract after 4-5 weeks, but she kept the deposit of €750. This happened after she had mainly sent us houses that did not meet the agreed criteria and therefore couldn't show us any potentially suitable property! We felt completely abandoned in the middle of our house hunt abroad and in a seller’s market where a buyer’s broker with good connections is essential to find a good home. So be careful if a buyer's broker does not work on a 'no cure, no pay' basis. The risk lies with you if your broker doesn't perform, has no good network to find suitable properties or thinks it is more advantageous to stop working after collecting the deposit. Laura could not convince us regarding reliability and professionalism.

In one word: TOP! We have sold our house for the 3rd time through Laura and everything was taken care of to the last detail. The sellers rank her number 1. Are you looking for a reliable, punctual, professional but also self-assured real estate agent who is there for you? Don't look any further and contact her and experience it yourself ;)

At first, I wasn't sure if I could buy a house in the competitive market. I hesitated to pay the full package that other brokers offer. My mortgage advisor referred me to Laura. After talking with Laura, she suggested that I take the individual package that she offered. I bought Laura’s advisory services. Laura is helping me prepare for the price I need to offer, informs me about things in the house that I need to check further, and so on. With her help, I learned how the system works and it ultimately helped me win the bid. Laura also assisted with reviewing the contract, arranging the appraisal, contacting the building inspector, and recommending the notary. I can wholeheartedly recommend her services.

What a bad realtor. During the viewing, we were already misled that there was a bidding process. This is completely untrue. In addition, the advertisement for the house is not correct. Very satisfied with the entire process. Bas kept all his appointments. He helped us tremendously, gave consistently good advice, and was also very correct and helpful towards the buyers. For our house we received a good price, the photos, the prospect and the signs for the house were very beautiful, and the purchase agreement was well put together. On the search sites we were very easy to find both in the Netherlands and Germany. It looked attractive and immediately attracted buyers. And because they were real photos and videos, potential buyers were also very enthusiastic during the viewings of our house. Bas is very friendly, helpful but above all very skilled. As transparent as he is and not afraid to call a spade a spade towards all parties, he prevented problems during the sale in advance; not in an annoying way, and yet with all due respect. But no one can claim that things were not said as they were, or that anything was concealed.
