As a tenant, I would look for another property and definitely not do business with them. The property is rented to you through them; they only act as an intermediary where they draw up the rental agreement, you pay the first rent to them, and a (photo) report was made during key handover without the presence of the new tenant regarding the condition of the property. Then you hear nothing more until you want to terminate the lease. Apparently, it is expected that you conduct correspondence about this with them and you will be confronted with all sorts of procedures that do not describe anywhere how you should leave the property. Nothing about this is stated in the rental agreement. Then their friendliness suddenly disappears completely, although they themselves are not mentioned anywhere in the rental agreement as stakeholders. They send emails full of threats without first hearing both sides and if a less friendly reaction follows, they are then surprised. Empty statements such as that the termination of the lease was not done on time because the landlord decides not to pick up the registered letter and that an extra month's rent should therefore be paid. Luckily I hadn’t paid the last month's rent yet, because I quickly noticed that this would become a discussion where you, as a tenant, always get the short end of the stick, because you can whistle for the return of the security deposit. I terminated the lease registered by post and also registered by email so they had no leg to stand on. I would therefore advise Lighthouse Property to quickly return to school with regard to all current case law on rental agreements and advise them to delete the clauses and conditions invented by themselves, as these are not included anywhere in the rental agreement and have long been condemned by judges as unreasonable disadvantageous terms.

We used Lighthouse to find a rental apartment when we first moved to the Netherlands and were very impressed by their quick response and professionalism. They also helped us with the purchase of a house a year later and gave us great advice along the way to find the perfect home. We hebben een vreselijke ervaring gehad met Koops Makelaardij. Als makelaarskantoor zouden ze volgens de huurovereenkomst moeten optreden als officiële bemiddelaar tussen de huurder en de verhuurder. Echter, zodra er een geschil ontstond over de teruggave van onze borg, trokken ze zich volledig terug, weigerden ze naar behoren te bemiddelen en namen ze geen enkele verantwoordelijkheid. Tijdens de eindinspectie leek alles in orde, maar later, dagen nadat de sleutels waren overhandigd, lieten ze de verhuurder eenzijdig een lange lijst met ongedocumenteerde, onterechte financiële vorderingen toevoegen. In plaats van de integriteit van hun eigen ondertekende rapporten te beschermen, toonden ze een totaal gebrek aan professionaliteit en het negeren van standaardprocedures. Als u op zoek bent naar een betrouwbaar makelaarskantoor dat de Nederlandse huurwetgeving naleeft en professioneel handelt wanneer er problemen ontstaan, zoek dan verder. Absoluut af te raden.

Voor een verhoging van mijn hypotheek vanwege een duurder uitgevallen verbouwing had ik onlangs een nieuwe taxatie nodig. Kennemer Makelaars had eerder al een taxatie voor mij uitgevoerd en viel toen op door hun deskundige en snelle aanpak. Omdat Calcasa geen desktop taxatie kon uitvoeren terwijl de verbouwing nog liep, nam ik opnieuw contact op met Kennemer Makelaars. Zij konden snel een afspraak voor mij inplannen. Een dag later liet de bank weten dat er toch een bureau beschikbaar was voor een desktop taxatie. Dat bespaarde mij honderden euro’s. Nadat ik dit had doorgegeven, werd de afspraak bij Kennemer Makelaars zonder problemen geannuleerd. Hun begripvolle en klantgerichte houding stelde ik zeer op prijs. Kennemer Makelaars combineert deskundigheid met flexibiliteit en denkt echt mee met de klant.
