When I later reported this to them via WhatsApp, I sadly heard nothing from them. Very disappointing, full service would have been nice instead of partial service.

29 May 2025Unacceptable communication regarding rental application Very disappointing experience with our rental application for Nijverheidsweg 13 and 15. All documents were complete and delivered on time. As a precaution, I emailed and called several times to make sure nothing was missing. I was promised that contact would be made if anything was missing, which never happened. None of my emails received a response and ultimately we received a rejection out of the blue, without any explanation. Completely unprofessional, improper and totally not customer-focused. That's not how you treat people.

For these two homes there were very many applications, as this applies to almost all rental properties. Prior to the viewings, we clearly published and displayed the procedure on the internet, which also indicated which documents are required to carry out the screening of the interested rental candidate in order to find a suitable rental candidate who requires the approval of our client. We have clearly stated that providing the correct documents is the responsibility of the interested rental candidate. Despite the fact that your data were not complete, we still carried out your screening and took it into account in the assessment and advice to our client, entirely in accordance with the previously indicated procedure. That you ultimately were not the most suitable candidate, we did indeed communicate this to you; you sent us an email regarding the rejection on which we provided a more extensive explanation of the rejection. Regarding our communication, I can unfortunately only conclude that we have handled this extremely carefully and that your review may be based on the disappointment that you did not become the ultimate tenant. And we certainly understand that, it is not easy to find a suitable rental property. Should we be able to do something for you in the future, we would appreciate hearing from you.

Date unknownGiven the reaction of the owner below, a short explanation. In 2018, we had an appraisal carried out. There was very difficult communication and failure to keep appointments regarding the delivery of the appraisal report. After complaining about this, a lower value was assessed for the property in question, which caused problems with financing. Since it only involved a few thousand euros and the report was delivered after our complaint, this (too low) assessment seemed like bullying. The appraisal was carried out by your colleague Mr. Bouwsma.

Called again on thursday afternoon: they are on a “team outing”, friday still nothing heard from the office! Conclusion: team outing is more important than (the) sale of a house, so went to another real estate agent anyway!
