They claim to have 15 years of experience, while the person who helped us was a bus driver before (!) We not only lost a lot of money by engaging this real estate agency, but we have also seen similar incidents in the Zoetermeer area with the same people. Check their reviews on Trustpilot! A very disappointing real estate agency, especially Ivo and the so-called 'owner' Bert van der Krogt stand out. Our dedicated real estate agent didn't even have a professional real estate background; he used to work for the Haagse Tram. The entire business model is based on a commission structure that is not shared within the office. Real estate agents – internally trained by Remax and not certified by the NVM – earn exclusively from their own sales. This model does not serve the client's interests. In an already difficult housing market, potential buyers were not proactively referred or encouraged, simply because this would not benefit the agent personally. This undermines the seller's position fundamentally. Throughout the entire sales process, we received a stream of excuses about the lack of progress: 'The sun is shining, people are at the beach.' 'It's raining, so people stay indoors.' We even had to organize open houses ourselves. Under the supervision of owner Bert van der Krogt, a sale was arranged for a property belonging to agent Ivo's daughter – which was privately sold to a third party. This felt at least very suspicious. After confronting them with this and clearly stating that we no longer wanted to be represented by Remax – after three-quarters of a year on the market – we switched real estate agencies, despite multiple threats from Bert. The NVM-certified agent who took over only needed one open house to sell the property and did so in a professional, transparent, and genuinely service-oriented manner.

For both the purchase and sale of our home, we were very well assisted by Britt van der Krogt from RE/MAX. Britt is super friendly, positive, clear in her communication, easy to reach and someone you can really rely on. She takes immediate action, which ensures that things run smoothly. We visited a house on Kamperfoeliestraat with one of these real estate agents. We walked in and were immediately asked with a smile, 'Oh, you don't have a buyer's agent?' After viewing the house, we asked about the service they offer as a buyer's agent. The gentleman asked about our wishes and I passed them on. Then came the comment, 'You certainly want to live close to your parents. Well then you'll have to lower your wishes very quickly, because this way it will never work.' The comment was totally unfriendly and it felt like we weren't taken seriously. And guess what. We did manage to buy a home with our wishes, without a buyer's agent. Also, we were allowed to view other homes within our price range with our wishes. So Re/max, thanks for nothing.

Last week I had a conversation with Remax - Bert. The conversation went well and Bert, although he sometimes had some difficulty getting to the point, was very friendly and even promised to speed up the results and come back as soon as possible. He did this within an hour, which was good. The reason why I have to give 1 star is that he valued the property about 10% below the WOZ value (taxable value of January 2024). The apartment is not in a great condition, but it did have several good selling points, such as a large roof terrace. All of this on top of the plan to do viewings only in one week with a bidding deadline, a 'no pay no cure' policy and a fixed commission of 3500 euros. It gave me the impression that if they keep the price low, there will always be offers and even if they are below my expectations, 'they have' done their job and I must therefore pay, even if I don't want to sell at that price. For me it feels like there is no motivation and trust that the agent will get me the best price. Moreover, he would have pointed out a few extra points for us next Monday (yesterday), but he did not do that. Since then I have spoken to two other agents who both gave a better presentation and follow-up. Of course, I will, to guarantee the accuracy of this review, post an update as soon as I have put/sold the apartment, to show whether they might have been right after all.

Price/quality not proportional. Significantly more expensive than the average real estate agent but doesn't justify it. Regret choosing this realtor. One time they blame it on a “bug” in their system and another time on it ending up in the spam folder. Also things like receiving a message at 00:30 am about an appointment for the same morning and whether you can open the door because the realtor cannot themselves. Be wise and sometimes a cheap deal is not the best.
