I had actually reached an agreement for a certain purchase price after viewing in Noordwijk by email. Subsequently, I sent all the documents to the bank and the documentation to this agent for the purchase agreement as he asked me. Until two weeks later, on a Friday at 12:15, I had sent my last documents and then received an email at 4:15 PM the same day stating: 'Sorry, but there is a higher bidder, so we are going with that party.' Incidentally, the agent has every right to do this since the purchase agreement was not yet finalized. However, it is very, very inhumane to dismiss me with a simple email. The agent should have contacted me (since we already had an agreement for a certain amount) to discuss the situation. Then I would still have had a chance to increase my offer. When I called Mr., or rather finally got through to him, after a heated discussion and a lot of explanation from my side regarding the aforementioned situation, he was indeed in agreement that he should have called me but left it at that. Mr. did not really make any effort to improve his actions towards me. A few days later, I had someone else call to see if the house was still available and received as a response: 'Yes, of course, but there are already offers.' Or while I could have gone higher with my offer in this way (if I wanted to), so that another set of people could be put aside after my opinion in an inconsiderate manner. Ultimately, I did not choose this option because I also find it unfair to others. In short, be careful with this agent because he does not care about humanity but only about his wallet. Best people, we all make mistakes, but making deliberate mistakes at the expense of families like mine is very wrong. I would advise the agent to reflect on this and hopefully learn something for the future! I had rented my house for a few years through them. Everything was fine. Later, the manager of the branch in Sassenheim left and I had to deal with a new manager (he is the main decision maker, or perhaps the one who oversees the entire internet house). He refused to rent my house. I asked him for the reason or I wrote him that I was open to discussion and willing to respect their general terms, but they had to tell me. He refused to be open and wrote that it was final, without any explanation. A few years later I tried again and the local branch agreed, but the same person (I don't want to mention names publicly, out of respect) refused again to rent, despite agreeing with their terms. Everything is in writing. This person who makes the decisions is extremely rude or arrogant and I felt discriminated against (in my opinion), although I might be wrong and I don't want to be judgmental. In the business world it is considered: if someone behaves well, is polite and adheres to the contract, services should not be denied to him. I always paid on time and agreed with their service conditions. It is still a mystery to me! Anyway, there were others who rented my house with better service and I paid them more as the rent increased and the property became more expensive, so it's their loss. But I want to share my experience and all communication is in writing! I have thought about it for years before writing this feedback, to make sure I'm not writing anything from my emotions.
