My personal experience is very bad and I will not recommend them personally. In my case, we found their approach inappropriate when we contested that they charged us a substantial amount upon check-out without any discussion or agreement with us, stating the reason for the house not being clean. However, no such important remark was made during the check-out inspection. The house was thoroughly cleaned. Upon check-in, they sent an inspection report stating that everything was clean. However, there were many places where it wasn't clean and we mentioned this in the check-in report, but we felt that this was not taken into account at check-out. At check-out, our deposit was not refunded within a month. Ultimately, after multiple reminders when it was eventually refunded, high cleaning costs were charged, while in our opinion the house was sufficiently clean and handed over cleaner than upon check-in. When we pointed out that the check-in report mentioned that the house wasn't completely clean, this was not taken into account. We felt terrible about the experience and felt it didn’t add up. I certainly will not recommend them.

Personally a very bad experience and absolutely recommended. They charged us a hefty cleaning fee at check-out, while in our opinion the house was thoroughly cleaned. It wasn't transparent and there were no discussions or agreements made with us about it. The deposit was refunded after the agreed term of one month, after deduction of a high charge. That came as a big shock to us, because there were no significant remarks about the cleanliness of the house at check-out. Moreover, upon check-in we mentioned several points about the fact that the house was not thoroughly cleaned, which were not taken into account at check-out. My experience was extremely bad; we found the behavior of their employees inappropriate, unprofessional and non-transparent. Let's say: be careful and definitely never do this again.

I was quite in a hurry to rent out my apartment. I had already been talking with another real estate agent, but unfortunately, he didn't call back each time, so I called Koops Makelaardij because of a tip from my neighbor. She was right that it could go very quickly. Within 2 weeks, I had an introductory meeting, the photographer came, it was online, there were viewings, and I had a very suitable tenant. I am not the type of person who leaves bad reviews, and I even feel bad doing this now, but I hope to spare someone else from my situation. I will go into more detail below, but in short: poor advice from TWM has cost me at least €50,000, and the situation is still ongoing. I hired TWM to help me buy a house in 2021. If I had written a review then, it would have been 5 stars. The agent I worked with was extremely helpful and communicative. As an expat, I felt very reassured. Ultimately, I started looking in the Zaanstad area. TWM let me know that this wasn't their primary working area, but that it wouldn’t be a problem to help me find something there. Houses in Zaanstad of a certain age are known to require foundation repairs, and it was made very clear from the start that I could NOT afford foundation repairs, and therefore had to avoid buying a house where this was needed. Ultimately, I found a property nearby that I really liked... but the house was slightly tilted, which again indicated foundation problems. I raised this with the agent, who said there was no special reason for concern, but that a technical survey would certainly reveal this. The technical inspection was carried out by an inspector recommended by the agency. In the report, he stated that there didn't seem to be any particular reason for concern within the foundation; that the house was obviously tilted, but he noted nothing abnormal. He also indicated that a specific foundation report could tell us more, but that he did not deem it necessary. I contacted the agent again and asked to be sure about the foundation problem. Again, I was told there was no reason for concern. I asked the agent about a suitable offer on the house, and he approved the offer I wanted to make and said it was a good offer on the house. Everything went well, I bought the house and moved in. Afterwards, my situation unexpectedly changed and by the end of 2023 it became clear that I would be moving out of the Netherlands. I knew the timeframe was quite short, so I just hoped to break even when selling the house. I contacted TWM again to handle the sale, because I had such a positive experience with them previously. Then it became clear that the advice they gave me when buying the house was poor. As soon as we started selling the house, every potential buyer mentioned fundamental concerns. What was 'no problem' became the reason why nobody wanted to buy the house... and since I have only lived in the house for 2 years (November 2021 - November 2023), I can hardly believe that the foundation has deteriorated from 'no reason for concern, perfectly normal' to 'IMMEDIATE RENOVATION REQUIRED' in such a short time. As of the moment I am writing this, the house is for sale for €50,000 less than what I paid, and I still cannot get an offer for that amount. This is the minimum amount I can accept and pay off the mortgage; lower, and I will still be making mortgage payments. Because TWM seemed so serious and sincere otherwise (this is why I still give them 2 stars instead of 1), I would like to believe this was an honest mistake. I spoke with several other real estate agencies, and those who did NOT live in Zaanstad seemed to agree with TWM. On paper, they felt the house should be able to sell without problems for that price. Only a local Zaanstad agent told me otherwise. So I suspect this is a case where they don't know the local area, and nothing malicious. That said, I made the purchase and offer based on their recommendation, and hired them to ensure I paid a fair price, as I have no real estate knowledge. And I can only say that it was a failure on their part, even if the mistake was honest. This has derailed my life, and the only loss TWM suffers is the time it takes to sell the property. That is probably still covered by their discount on the generous offer I initially made on the house, based on their recommendation.
