No bullshit just clear and with everything calmly discussed. NH brokers also has a wide range of mortgage advisors and building experts etc., who are definitely recommended as well. 14 Nov 2025Fly Schagen, the party that handled the entire purchase process from start to finish on our behalf. Of course, this comes with a cost, but that's a choice you make and they are very transparent about it. I dare to say 100% that I would do it again. Buying a house is not just something, there's a lot to consider and for every question we had, there was almost 24x7 an answer found via a whatsapp group where several employees of Fly Schagen were present. During a meeting during an inspection, they think about things you yourself don't even think of. Kitchen drawers, cabinets and doors are opened with a very critical eye while you yourself are only surprised by how beautiful the floor is. I can recommend Fly Schagen for all your property purchases. The communication is very simple and you are dealing with people who know what they're talking about. Is your fixed real estate agent on vacation? Then you get a colleague assigned to you directly who speaks exactly the same language. 5/5 stars for this party. I am now the happy owner of a new home thanks to Fly Schagen.

Although that project did not work out for us, we stayed with him because he advised us honestly and transparently from the start. Tygo is an incredibly enthusiastic and competent real estate agent. He helped us tremendously in finding a home and selling my partner’s apartment. The communication was always easy: Tygo is very reachable and thinks along with you. Even on his free evenings or weekends, he goes out of his way for you. We as a couple sometimes have somewhat peculiar, sarcastic humor, but that was fortunately no problem with Tygo. Despite him taking his work very seriously and professionally, there’s always room for a joke. This makes the search for a new home and viewings light-hearted and enjoyable. The communication within Fly Real Estate is incredibly fast; if Tygo wasn’t available, one of his colleagues would respond almost immediately and take up our question. If we ever sell or buy another house again, we will definitely approach Fly Real Estate.

Buying and selling a house is not something we do every day, so we certainly weren't familiar with the world of real estate... Afterwards, we contacted Marius from 'van het riet makelaars'. Marius is an incredibly pleasant realtor who helped us well in searching for a new home at our own pace. Ultimately, we came to a plot where Marius was able to mean a lot to us. Marius was always available (sorry for the messages ;) ) and was a very good sparring partner with questions. After purchasing the plot, we were also allowed to sell our house via 'van het Riet'. Again, nothing but praise; we wanted to sell quickly. The photographer came and the team at 'van het riet' took everything out of our hands. Thanks! What pleasant no-nonsense realtors. Top.

21 Oct 2025If I could give them less than one star, I would do so. We had trouble finding a suitable real estate agent and eventually gave Hoekstra & van Eck a chance. Gary contacted us and assured us that they would help us with everything we needed for buying a house. We went to view a home being sold by Hoekstra & van Eck, and therefore we had another appraiser assess the property and assist us in the bidding process. Gary showed us the house and assured us it was in good condition and ready to move into immediately. We were so confident in Gary's opinion that we didn't request an inspection ourselves, especially since Gary knew us and essentially acted as our real estate agent. In hindsight, we should have had a proper viewing done right away. We made an offer on the house and became the second bidders. We were told that if the first bidders said no, we could purchase it. The first bidders declined, and we received a call giving us only a few hours to decide whether or not we wanted to buy it – we didn’t even get proper time for consideration before making the decision. We bought the house, and they were very helpful until it was sold. Later on, we discovered that there were 'hidden damages' in the property, and we tried contacting them to find a solution but have received no response from them since then. This happened about a month ago, and we still haven’t heard back from them. They are more likely to respond to this review than to my emails. I also had to call them twice, and they hide behind their secretaries with excuses like 'We're very busy'. I am still waiting for Jeffrey's phone call as the seller of the house but have received nothing yet. Our appraiser has also tried contacting them without success. If you are a beginner, do not use them or make sure that you have enough legal support in case something goes wrong. If you don’t know enough about the Dutch real estate market, do not use them. I cannot speak for all of Hoekstra & van Eck’s offices, but this experience was specifically with their office in Heerhugowaard. Jeffrey and Gary were involved in the sale.

08 Oct 2025Fantastic Guidance During Purchase! An Absolute Recommendation! Jeffrey van Hoekstra and Van Eck Real Estate helped us phenomenally with the purchase of our new home. He is an absolute top buyer's agent! Our choice for Jeffrey was quickly made after we had viewed several houses he had on the market. What impressed us then and was later confirmed during the purchasing process, was his honesty and integrity. Always quick to answer all our questions. And he also called back frequently. This gave us immediate confidence: Jeffrey had to be our buyer's agent. And how glad we are that we made this choice! The communication throughout was excellent and availability great. No question was too much and he was always there for us. Even the aftercare is of an unprecedented high standard. A week and a half ago, we called Jeffrey for an appraisal report on our old home and he arranged it immediately. That's the service you get! We are extremely happy with Jeffrey and the team at Hoekstra and Van Eck Real Estate and can recommend him to everyone looking for a reliable, honest, and highly skilled buyer's agent! And not to forget also as a top seller's agent! Our gratitude is great!
