Thanks to Daan, I was able to buy my first apartment in Amsterdam within 3 months! He gave advice on all aspects, such as finding a mortgage advisor, placing bids, checking the property. He handled the communication surrounding everything and was present until the key transfer. My advice to starters: you will need a lot of help to navigate the market. You must actively search Funda yourself, but for the rest, you need an expert.

Afterwards, I was somewhat shocked by the price due to the speed of the sale, slightly below the asking price. As I said, maybe that’s normal in real estate.

So in that respect too, he didn't make it easy for himself. Once we had an offer, he called other interested parties to see if they would also like to make a bid. This resulted in two significantly higher bids.
