Communication could be so much better!!

We bought our house from Alfred more than 30 years ago and rented it out through him from 2009-2010, to our complete satisfaction. But even afterwards, he has willingly helped us with relevant and very useful advice, without any (direct) interest being involved.

I would like to express my thanks to Alfred Makelaars and, in particular, to Niels Folkersma for his great help with the purchase of our house. Niels was friendly, professional, and always available for questions throughout the entire process. He gave honest advice, thought along with us, and ensured that everything went smoothly and clearly. Thanks to his commitment, we were able to buy our new home with a good feeling. Bad experience with them. Recently, after much consideration, a complaint was filed with the NRVT regarding this broker. When selling our house, we hired an appraiser, Van Santen de Hoog. Broker Bakker worked for the buyer. During our appraisal, this broker imposed himself on our appraiser (by insisting on being present on the same day). In my opinion, there was clearly collusion to determine a lower price and the other broker even drafted the plausibility statement in our report. Both deny any conflict of interest. The case is with the NVRT and I will add an update later.

Because we live 2-2.5 hours' drive from Groningen, we had asked broker Reinders to schedule multiple viewings on one day. On the day of the viewing, we had looked at 4 apartments and experienced this as very pleasant. This meant that we only needed to travel to Groningen for one day for the viewings.
