Van Wijk was gratis een keer langsgekomen, om te beoordelen wat ons huis waard was. Dit ivm hoeveel we konden lenen. Hier zaten geen verdere voorwaarden aan vast. Later toen we een huis gekocht hadden, ook gekozen voor van Wijk om onze woning die we achterlaten te verkopen. Verkoop ging spoedig en zonder problemen. Wij zijn helemaal tevreden.

Tijdens intakegesprek werd de waardebepaling ruim te hoog ingeschat. Een verkoopprijs van boven € 800.000 werd als reëel ingeschat terwijl de uiteindelijke verkoopprijs op € 772.500 uitkwam. I had a thoroughly negative experience with this real estate agent. There was an agreement on the selling price — confirmed by the agent himself — but shortly after, the sale was stopped as soon as I asked a reasonable and simple question: whether proof could be provided of the supposedly completed specialist work (“waterproof putty”) in the basement, where a moisture problem would have been solved. Instead of showing transparency or reviewing documentation, the file was abruptly closed with the excuse that the seller “had to move on” and there might be more money to be had elsewhere. That says it all. For the agent to now try to dismiss this as a matter of “feeling” or “my choice” is misleading. The fact remains that there was an oral agreement, confirmed through communication, and the sale was terminated when I asked for proof of work that they claimed to have done themselves. This behavior speaks little of integrity, is unprofessional, and undermines the trust you as a buyer may have in an NVM real estate agent. A clear warning for me: if difficult questions are raised, this agent does not choose honesty but rather runs away from them. Very disappointing and an experience I would wish on no one.
