Just as we decided to sell our house, I received an email from Langejan about the valuation days and the possibility of a free valuation. The initial contact was professional and pleasant: an agent came by, brought a brochure, and we had a good conversation. He promised to send us the valuation within a week. Ten days later, I still hadn't received anything, so I called them — also to let them know that we had already bought a new home, that we were seriously interested in working with them, and that we would appreciate it if they could still send their estimate. Without any apology, I was told that it might come that week. Another ten days passed. Nothing received. I eventually emailed them to ask if they ever intended to send that valuation. To this day — now months later — I have never received a response. If the very first step already goes so laboriously and unreliably, how can you trust that the further sales process will be guided punctually and professionally?

I would like to share my experience with Zuidstad Makelaars. Unfortunately, this experience has been anything but positive. To begin with, a serious mistake was made in my purchase agreement. The original asking price was mentioned in the contract instead of the amount I had offered. This agreement had already been signed by both parties. Eventually, I discovered this myself and honestly informed them, as honesty is important to me. It was a difference of €8,000. Despite this major error, I received no form of apology or concession. In addition, I viewed the house again and it was mentioned that there should be a shed included. However, there was no key available. The real estate agent had promised that this would be resolved before signing, during the inspection. On the day of signing - a moment you look forward to as a 21-year-old - I myself asked if the key had been resolved in the meantime. Fieke said that the seller had tried to contact the neighbors, but that this had not been successful and therefore there was no key. In other words: no key and even no clarity on where my shed was located. If I had not been alert myself, this apparently would have been my own problem. Fieke said she would call me back with a solution. Meanwhile, I was already on my way to the notary, who also stated that I should not sign if there were things that did not add up. Therefore, I postponed the signing. At the end of the afternoon, I was called by Fieke with the message that she now wanted the keys and said that we were therefore far from home. The tone in which this happened was anything but pleasant, while the mistakes lay with them. In the end, a new key was arranged via a neighbor and the inspection could take place that same afternoon. However, on site it turned out that the real estate agent did not know which shed was mine, something I find very strange for a real estate agent. He then tried all the doors with the available keys, but none of the keys worked. Therefore, another key had to be made. Only the day after was there finally a correct key for the shed. As a "good makertje" I received a chocolate bar, which apparently is standard. My advice: look for another real estate agent. This party works sloppily, communicates poorly and does not take customers seriously.
