The property was perfectly handed over, but even then we still got a so-called report with 'noted cleaning and repair work'. A transparent attempt to charge extra costs — without any proof or basis. According to article 7:206 and 7:217 BW, maintenance and repair are the responsibility of the landlord, not the tenant. Such practices are not only scandalous but also legally untenable.
