Date unknownMy lawyer has repeatedly pointed out to this broker the legal regulations, which were ignored. Three times I received an incorrect order of services with numerous errors, including even a wrong house number. An order even crossed out with pen and scribbles. A price tag was stuck on the property without consultation, with the answer being that I wasn't a realtor, didn't understand, and had to have a structural survey carried out at my expense. Finally, the association NVM was brought in, then it became too hot for this broker under his feet and he threw in the towel. I hope Mike Gorter is satisfied with putting a 6-year-old child on the street and then moving into the property himself without taking over and preventing the sale. In short, a very bad realtor, (apparently I'm not the only one see review facebook). Arrogant, Unreliable, doesn't keep appointments. Scammers!!!! A warned person counts for two.

Date unknownMy son lived happily in a room through PMA Real Estate for over two years. The accommodation was neat and the communication was slow in some cases, but ultimately issues were resolved. The living experience itself was therefore predominantly positive. However, the handling of the lease termination deserves attention and is important for future tenants – especially students who rent jointly – to be aware of. My son formally and correctly terminated his rental agreement, handed over the property without defects, and returned the keys after a final inspection where no damage or arrears were found. Nevertheless, PMA continues to refuse to refund the paid share of the deposit (€750), citing the reason that the other tenant is still residing in the property. Despite multiple neat and legally substantiated requests, substantive responses remained absent. The fact that I repeatedly dealt with changing contact persons – one time Kees, then Tjeerd – did not contribute to clarity or accountability. The email I received as a last response literally read: “I understand that you would like to direct things according to your own hand and good thinking but the real world works differently.” A very unprofessional tone that does not suit a rental organization and certainly not when it comes to students and parents who want to conclude matters correctly. So pay close attention if you are moving into a property with multiple tenants through PMA: the contract is shared, but the deposit is not held per person. This can cost you dearly upon check-out – even if you have correctly terminated, handed over, and paid your own share. In our case, the deposit payment was divided between two people, but upon departure, this is suddenly no longer taken into account. Hopefully, this feedback will lead to improvement in communication and processing in the future. Meanwhile, three weeks have passed, the other resident has also left the property. But we still haven't received the deposit back. Emails are not being answered. Very regrettable and unprofessional. I have therefore reduced the rating to 1 star.

18 Sep 2023I would absolutely not recommend this company! I am surprised to read in the review that there are professionals... It took several weeks before we could live normally in our apartment again (no hot water, broken terrace door, broken heating...). They didn't respond and initially said it could be our fault. We had to solve many problems ourselves. And now they don't even want to refund our deposit for energy bills we have never heard of, which they can’t even pay and which are not in the contract... Very disappointing and such behavior is clearly unreliable for both parties: the tenant or the owner. (We often rent apartments and this is the worst time!!!!)

Dear Océane, the rental agreement you signed did not include utilities and you were informed that you needed to put all utilities in your name. Because this was not done for the heating and hot water of the property, the landlord correctly charged you that amount for the period you lived there and provided you with all invoices. All other issues you mentioned which are normal for a home have been resolved promptly, but some minor repairs fall under the responsibility of the tenant, as you are the one using the property. This is also clearly stated in the signed rental agreement. Nevertheless, we thank you for your stay as a tenant and for leaving a review, because we always strive to improve our customer service. 18 Sep 2022We hired Property Manager Amsterdam (PMA) when they just started. Over the years, whenever something went wrong, we reasoned that PMA lacked sufficient experience. But with the latest rental period, we could no longer justify this excuse. I wish we had stopped collaborating with PMA before it became a time-, energy- and money-consuming job. In the last rental agreement that PMA drafted for us, it stated that our property should be returned in the same condition as in which the tenant received it. Including the inventory list, of which the tenant had signed a detailed list upon entry. The agreement also stipulated that the tenant should deregister with the municipality at the end of the rental period. Nevertheless, PMA did not hold the tenant liable for the following matters. The tenant: - Did not deregister with the municipality - Damaged paintwork beyond normal wear and tear - Damaged furniture and floors beyond normal wear and tear - Missing inventory items were not returned - Consistently failed to report damage to the apartment as required by law - Did not perform minor repairs as required by law PMA dismissed all of the above points, referring to Dutch legislation and stating that they had to protect their business. However, I discovered that the rental agreement and Dutch legislation supported our claims. This gave me the impression that PMA has insufficient knowledge of Dutch legislation or language. It also made me feel that PMA was not on our side. Here is another list of things that went wrong during the previous rental period. PMA: - The property was not thoroughly inspected, no inventory was created and no signature from the tenant was collected. - Stains on all walls and furniture were not noted, resulting in a total repair cost of € 5400,-. - The property was not delivered on the agreed date. - The property was not delivered as clean as it was received. - Communication was not timely. - No responsibility was taken for mistakes. All in all, it took us four weeks to clear up the mess, which is not what we expected when hiring a property manager.

It’s also regrettable that this needs to happen again 5 months later. We have always tried to accommodate your requests, provided support where needed, and we successfully found 4 different tenants who met all your requirements during that time. It's unrealistic to expect a property to be delivered in exactly the same condition after years of rental, without major maintenance such as painting, for more than 10 years. Properties are subject to normal wear and tear, and landlords cannot expect a tenant to pay the full cost of a new property that was not new when the rental period began. We simply could not agree with you on all the points regarding non-liability: - Withholding € 1,500 from the tenant’s deposit until we received an official letter from the municipality, while we had already forwarded you the email from the municipality as confirmation. - The desire to charge for a complete repaint, while the apartment was painted more than 10 years ago. - Requesting the full price for furniture, without taking into account lifespan, wear and tear, quality of the item, and the amount charged monthly for the use of furniture and upholstery. - Charging for missing inventory that had been stored in closed boxes in a basement for 3 years, over 2 rental periods, and which we were not even allowed to touch. Part of that inventory consisted of cleaning products, coffee capsules, personal hygiene products, and other small household items with a limited shelf life. We felt compelled to protect our interests because you requested that we not inform the tenant that it was your request to make those deductions. After that, you wanted us out of the conversation and forbade us from communicating with the tenant. Other matters: - Check-in and check-out reports were prepared, signed by the tenant, and sent to you. We did not agree with the complete list of missing items because some items were not missing. - What you call repair costs for a paint job that is more than 10 years old, we consider normal maintenance costs. - It was agreed that the property would be delivered a few days later because it was not sufficiently cleaned. These things are beyond our control and we have done our utmost to have the property ready on time and have always kept in contact with you. - Throughout the process, there were multiple phone calls with your partner G., in which agreements were made about how to proceed. But you continued to send us emails with requests for deductions, parallel to these conversations with your partner. At one point we limited contact to G. only, because his name was on the contract and he was the official landlord. We took over the cleaning and reporting of stains on the walls and refunded you an amount to help you with this, despite the fact that the stains on the walls had been in the property for 3 years, before the last 2 tenants and during your last stay. There is experience and knowledge of Dutch law, which we have and know, but there is also common sense and fairness. All these variables play a role when situations like this arise. We believe that the tenant delivered the property in a reasonable condition and not in the condition you propose. We understand that this was an unpleasant situation for all parties involved, but unfortunately these types of situations occur with rental properties. We are convinced that we have done our work as mediator and real estate manager well by advising you on resolving any disputes in the best possible and fairest way. Nevertheless, we deeply regret that a good working relationship has ended this way. For now, we can only consider it a learning experience and thank you for it. Date unknownWith the first buyers, we were told that the financing was almost finalized. On a Friday, we received a call from our real estate agent asking if we could grant the buyers another week of extension because they were still waiting for a document. Immediately after the weekend on a Monday, we were called by our real estate agent's colleague stating that it wasn’t financially feasible. Very strange that it suddenly wasn’t finalized over a weekend while just a few days prior, they asked if we wanted to give the buyers another week of extension for the deadline of the termination conditions. With the second buyer, it ultimately did work out, but this process was also a drama. This buyer also received an extension because the financing couldn't be secured before the deadline. The information we consistently received from our real estate agent about the progress wasn’t really concrete. Every time, there was a different piece of evidence missing. This buyer even had a buying agent supporting him. But the communication between our real estate agent and us was truly poor. At one point, after the umpteenth extension (4 times), we had to request compensation from the buyer ourselves; it didn’t even come from the real estate agent. We ultimately received this. They completely lacked empathy for what we all went through. It was always 'give the buyer another week,' as if that cost us nothing. ———————————————————— Reaction: My statement regarding the termination of the first buyers is not being addressed. Instead, they immediately move on to the second buyer. Of course, people post positive reactions when the sale has gone well. But people should also know what real estate agents are like when things don’t go so smoothly. That's exactly what my reaction is about. The housing market has changed, and some real estate agents can’t handle that.

The granted postponement ultimately led to the final sale, allowing the transfer to take place on March 2nd and bringing this chapter to a good end. We deeply regret that you have been left with a different feeling about the sales process. However, we can sincerely state that we put everything into ensuring that, despite the challenging circumstances, the matter was brought to a successful conclusion. 10 Aug 2025We have had very bad experiences with this real estate agent when purchasing a property. The inventory list was sent around 3 times, and we signed it under the latest version, as did the seller of the apartment. During the viewing, the inventory was also reviewed. When we received the keys, it ultimately didn't match; a closet, shelves, and lights were missing. We could have canceled the sale at that time, but based on the promise that it would be resolved properly, we still signed. When we claimed the proper solution, it wasn't there, it was downright scandalous, and unpleasant email exchanges followed. The seller of the apartment eventually paid us an amount. We received nothing from Brantjes, not even an apology while the fault was definitely with them. So pay close attention and don't trust the sweet talk. Make sure everything is properly documented.

Date unknownDisappointing experience with Teer Makelaars Beverwijk – lack of clear communication After months of preparation and consultation, we as a family had a disappointing experience with Teer Makelaars Beverwijk regarding the potential purchase of the retail property in which my husband has been active for more than 21 years as a tenant and entrepreneur. At the beginning of this year, he was approached by Teer Makelaars with the message that there was an opportunity to purchase the property as an existing tenant. This was presented as a serious opportunity, and we did everything possible to realize this step. Several mortgage quotes were requested, a professional appraisal was carried out, and we agreed to the proposed selling price. We were ready to finalize the purchase. After months of communication, however, we unexpectedly received notification that the sale would not proceed after all because the plans had changed and the property would be sold to a third party. This message came without further explanation or consultation, which overwhelmed and disappointed us, both personally and professionally. What makes this situation particularly bitter is that – as far as we know – the ultimate buyer has no interest in the retail space itself, but only in the overlying apartment. This raised questions about the motives behind the choices made. We have experienced the communication during this process as deficient. There was little transparency and no room for an open discussion about the situation that arose, while it has had a major impact on us as entrepreneurs. We believe it is important to share our experience so that others are aware of the importance of clear agreements and good communication in such processes. We hope that Teer Makelaars will handle similar processes more carefully in the future and with the people involved.

Date unknownAfter 21 years of being a tenant with full dedication in a retail space in Beverwijk, I was approached at the beginning of this year by Teer Makelaars with what appeared to be a unique opportunity: the possibility of purchasing the building where I have run my business for two decades. I was clearly told that as an existing tenant, I had first right to buy the property — a signal that I took seriously. Finally, a chance at security, stability and independence after years of investing at the same location. I seized this opportunity with both hands. In a short time, I requested several mortgage quotes, had an independent valuation carried out, held intensive consultations with my own real estate agent and declared myself fully in agreement with the asking price. Everything in my actions testified to complete transparency, good preparation and genuine intention. I was ready to finalize the purchase quickly and professionally. What happened next completely destroyed my trust in Teer Makelaars. Suddenly and without any warning, I was completely sidelined. To my astonishment, I heard that the property would “after all” be sold as a whole to a third party. I was not informed about this beforehand, received no explanation, no formal rejection, no conversation — nothing. No respect for my long-term commitment or the promises made earlier. As if my serious purchase intention and all my preparations were completely irrelevant. What makes this situation even more distressing: as far as I know, the buyer was only interested in the upstairs apartment and not in the retail space. There was therefore no functional necessity to not sell the retail space to me. It appears that simply the easiest or fastest way has been chosen, without any consideration for me as a loyal tenant and entrepreneur. The shop has now been definitively sold to another party. This means not only a chance has been lost, but my trust in Teer Makelaars has also been seriously damaged. The way they treated me — the lack of transparency, ignoring communication, failing to keep promises and the complete absence of honest consultation — has caused deep frustration and anger in me. This was not just a business disappointment, but also a personal feeling of disrespect and exclusion. I feel misled, and the entire process has made me look at the practices of this real estate agent with great suspicion ever since. The communication was not only deficient, but at crucial moments even completely absent. That is unacceptable in a process with such significant consequences for someone's future and life’s work. Although I have considered legal action, I now mainly choose to share my experience publicly. Other tenants and entrepreneurs need to know how serious candidates are treated. After more than two decades of tenancy, I deserved at least honesty and transparency. Teer Makelaars seriously failed in this case — on a communicative, professional and moral level.

17 Oct 2024After purchasing a new-build home through this real estate agent, we found it only logical to also have our existing house sold through them. This was not exactly a success. Everything that could go wrong, did go wrong. The photos were bad, the number of m2 was incorrect, there was poor communication and after 8 months our property was still not sold. Despite interim consultations, this real estate agent seemed unwilling to change his strategy. After a total of 10 months, we terminated the agreement with this real estate agent and entered into a collaboration with Noort Makelaars in Haarlem. Just eleven days after we reappeared on Funda, Noort Makelaars sold our house for a more than favorable price. Draw your own conclusions and think carefully before entering into an agreement with this real estate agent.

Date unknownDisappointing experience with Teer Makelaars Beverwijk – lack of clear communication After months of preparation and consultation, we as a family had a disappointing experience with Teer Makelaars Beverwijk regarding the potential purchase of the retail property in which my husband has been active for more than 21 years as a tenant and entrepreneur. At the beginning of this year, he was approached by Teer Makelaars with the message that there was an opportunity to purchase the property as an existing tenant. This was presented as a serious opportunity, and we did everything possible to realize this step. Several mortgage quotes were requested, a professional appraisal was carried out, and we agreed to the proposed selling price. We were ready to finalize the purchase. After months of communication, however, we unexpectedly received notification that the sale would not proceed after all because the plans had changed and the property would be sold to a third party. This message came without further explanation or consultation, which overwhelmed and disappointed us, both personally and professionally. What makes this situation particularly bitter is that – as far as we know – the ultimate buyer has no interest in the retail space itself, but only in the overlying apartment. This raised questions about the motives behind the choices made. We have experienced the communication during this process as deficient. There was little transparency and no room for an open discussion about the situation that arose, while it has had a major impact on us as entrepreneurs. We believe it is important to share our experience so that others are aware of the importance of clear agreements and good communication in such processes. We hope that Teer Makelaars will handle similar processes more carefully in the future and with the people involved.

Date unknownAfter 21 years of being a tenant with full dedication in a retail space in Beverwijk, I was approached at the beginning of this year by Teer Makelaars with what appeared to be a unique opportunity: the possibility of purchasing the building where I have run my business for two decades. I was clearly told that as an existing tenant, I had first right to buy the property — a signal that I took seriously. Finally, a chance at security, stability and independence after years of investing at the same location. I seized this opportunity with both hands. In a short time, I requested several mortgage quotes, had an independent valuation carried out, held intensive consultations with my own real estate agent and declared myself fully in agreement with the asking price. Everything in my actions testified to complete transparency, good preparation and genuine intention. I was ready to finalize the purchase quickly and professionally. What happened next completely destroyed my trust in Teer Makelaars. Suddenly and without any warning, I was completely sidelined. To my astonishment, I heard that the property would “after all” be sold as a whole to a third party. I was not informed about this beforehand, received no explanation, no formal rejection, no conversation — nothing. No respect for my long-term commitment or the promises made earlier. As if my serious purchase intention and all my preparations were completely irrelevant. What makes this situation even more distressing: as far as I know, the buyer was only interested in the upstairs apartment and not in the retail space. There was therefore no functional necessity to not sell the retail space to me. It appears that simply the easiest or fastest way has been chosen, without any consideration for me as a loyal tenant and entrepreneur. The shop has now been definitively sold to another party. This means not only a chance has been lost, but my trust in Teer Makelaars has also been seriously damaged. The way they treated me — the lack of transparency, ignoring communication, failing to keep promises and the complete absence of honest consultation — has caused deep frustration and anger in me. This was not just a business disappointment, but also a personal feeling of disrespect and exclusion. I feel misled, and the entire process has made me look at the practices of this real estate agent with great suspicion ever since. The communication was not only deficient, but at crucial moments even completely absent. That is unacceptable in a process with such significant consequences for someone's future and life’s work. Although I have considered legal action, I now mainly choose to share my experience publicly. Other tenants and entrepreneurs need to know how serious candidates are treated. After more than two decades of tenancy, I deserved at least honesty and transparency. Teer Makelaars seriously failed in this case — on a communicative, professional and moral level.

17 Sep 2025Contacted by Jeroen Menkveld to sell our caravan through their platform. For a price of 660 euros, Velder Vastgoed copied our advertisement and photos and posted them on their site. There was never any contact from your side to expedite the sale. Our experience: do not get involved with this club. No initiative and high price for merely reposting and no service that you would expect.

Additionally, we included the project in our mailings to promote sales. The difficulty in selling mainly stems from the chalet needing to be moved immediately – a situation that limits potential buyers' interest. Our fee is a fixed amount, precisely to avoid high commissions.
