Date unknownThe goal was achieved, selling the house. The first advisory meeting went well, but then it started... I could write a whole book here with text and explanation, but nobody would read that anyway. But here are a few points that I actually find unacceptable. - The photographer canceled 5 minutes before the appointment without any consequences... I shouldn't have tried.. - On Friday, no work is actually done (my real estate agent certainly wasn't) - During the viewings, incorrect information is given to the viewers. And even in a tone where I would think 'who are you working for?!' The house was half-trashed... - A video with presentation/walkthrough was included in the package, but it ultimately became just a simple video without a presentation... - Proactivity and communication could have been better, this did improve towards the end - Several CR real estate agents came by who actually didn't know anything about the house and therefore couldn't provide any incorrect or no information to the viewers - Often no immediate update regarding the viewings (only the next day when I asked for it) this was later improved - The motivation letter that was sent with a bid wasn't even forwarded to me. I only heard and read about it later from the buyers. - And then the house is finally sold... and you get a bottle of cheap prosecco as a gift instead of real champagne like with other real estate agents.... and they also don't go along to the notary to handle everything properly, or to ensure that it is handled correctly. All in all..the goal is achieved, the house is sold and for a selling price where I am still somewhat satisfied, but how this went was really dramatic.

They know the local market very well and have a broad network, which is why several viewings were quickly scheduled. Everything went smoothly; they thought along with us and no effort was too much. The communication, mainly by phone and via WhatsApp, was also very convenient.

06 Feb 2025Early December, we went to view a house where Mr. Baaten, as the selling real estate agent from Huizenpraktijk, gave the tour. All interested parties had been given the opportunity until a certain point to submit 1 bid through an online bidding site. We had also done so. That same afternoon, we received a phone call saying that our offer was the best and also received this in writing via email that same evening. The next morning (less than 24 hours later), we received a phone call where Mr. Baaten told us that the sellers had had their own viewing outside of the real estate agent and had offered 20K more. Our bid, which had gone through the official bidding process, was naturally no longer the best bid. We were of course given the opportunity to also offer an extra 20K, so ultimately it still became a 'bidding against each other' game. Through various channels, we later heard that it would have proceeded through the real estate agent anyway, so very disappointing that there seems to be lying and that the sellers received the blame.

From the moment contact was made between my father and Mechel Real Estate Agency, to today's transfer of the apartment, I can only say that we are very satisfied. During the initial meeting, our wishes were listened to carefully, people thought along with us, and good advice was given. The communication after the initial meeting often went through me. This is because my father (89) was very apprehensive about all the hassle involved in selling an apartment. They were very understanding towards my father here. I and the real estate agent had regular contact via telephone or WhatsApp. Even during the holiday period where Mechel Josien did replacements, everything went smoothly. In short, a good team that thinks along, communicates well, advises, and consults when necessary. Despite my father's apprehension, he experienced this process as pleasant. Thanks to Mechel Real Estate Agency, we look back on a quick and good sale.
