14 Nov 2025Fly Schagen, the party that handled the entire purchase process from start to finish on our behalf. Of course, this comes with a cost, but that's a choice you make and they are very transparent about it. I dare to say 100% that I would do it again. Buying a house is not just something, there's a lot to consider and for every question we had, there was almost 24x7 an answer found via a whatsapp group where several employees of Fly Schagen were present. During a meeting during an inspection, they think about things you yourself don't even think of. Kitchen drawers, cabinets and doors are opened with a very critical eye while you yourself are only surprised by how beautiful the floor is. I can recommend Fly Schagen for all your property purchases. The communication is very simple and you are dealing with people who know what they're talking about. Is your fixed real estate agent on vacation? Then you get a colleague assigned to you directly who speaks exactly the same language. 5/5 stars for this party. I am now the happy owner of a new home thanks to Fly Schagen.

05 Oct 2025We came across Fly Real Estate through a new construction project they were selling. Here, we were assigned agent Tygo. Although that project did not work out for us, we stayed with him because he advised us honestly and transparently from the start. Tygo is an incredibly enthusiastic and competent real estate agent. He helped us tremendously in finding a home and selling my partner’s apartment. The communication was always easy: Tygo is very reachable and thinks along with you. Even on his free evenings or weekends, he goes out of his way for you. We as a couple sometimes have somewhat peculiar, sarcastic humor, but that was fortunately no problem with Tygo. Despite him taking his work very seriously and professionally, there’s always room for a joke. This makes the search for a new home and viewings light-hearted and enjoyable. The communication within Fly Real Estate is incredibly fast; if Tygo wasn’t available, one of his colleagues would respond almost immediately and take up our question. If we ever sell or buy another house again, we will definitely approach Fly Real Estate.

18 Jun 2025I had an incredibly pleasant experience with DVA Makelaars. In 2018, I purchased a property where DVA real estate agents were the selling agent. They were great to communicate with, took plenty of time for the viewing, and further contact was very smooth and professional. I recently sold this property and chose DVA for the same reasons to sell it for me. The contact was extremely good again; Tineke contacted us on the same day, we had everything signed a few days later, and the sale was arranged. The house was somewhat outdated, and they even helped with having it renovated by connecting us with a contractor they know. In short: complete hassle-free service for me. I am sure that next time in the Alkmaar region I will use DVA real estate agents again. Keep up the good work Tineke and Pascal!

18 Nov 2024Last Thursday, my friend and I had the final inspection of our first home. We were super nervous and curious at the same time. We were a little earlier than the real estate agent from DVA and went inside because it was raining. We were greeted kindly by the current resident. When the real estate agent arrived, we felt that this wasn't intended. There was immediately a tense atmosphere. The resident had told us that day that there were two wasp nests in the shed outside and they could be removed at her expense. We thought it was strange that this hadn’t been reported beforehand and pointed this out to the real estate agent. She said she still wanted to pass this on during this final inspection. It's a bizarre situation that we weren't informed about this earlier. But ultimately, it's nice that it could be removed at the resident's expense. When we came into the garden and shed, there were all sorts of things lying around like 2 large bags of soil/planks/tools and bulky waste. The lamps were still hanging everywhere inside as well. We indicated that we couldn’t deal with this and whether it could be removed. The resident stated that she no longer had the time/strength/desire to do so. Not really a problem, but that's not the buyer's responsibility to clean up. Moreover, it is normal for a property to be handed over empty. We were willing to clear this up but for compensation. The real estate agent intervened and said she thought it was incredibly flimsy and that my friend was quite a 'big boy' to be able to do it himself. This felt very belittling because this simply wasn’t how a house should be handed over. It was a very unprofessional attitude from the real estate agent. She was completely on the resident's side. Ultimately, the real estate agent wanted to clean everything up herself and take it in her own car and started collecting the planks. This wouldn’t all fit so we eventually came to a solution with much sighing that we would get compensation for it. Very nice but we both felt uneasy about it. Upon arriving at the notary's office, we discussed the story again and a 'well sorry you want to hear that..' came from the real estate agent. We were very sorry that things went this way when buying our first home. It leaves a bitter aftertaste. Having told this story a few times in our circles, most people concluded that this (fortunately) is not the normal way of doing things. Hence we decided to leave a review and share how our experience with DVA real estate agents has been.

For the readers' understanding, it is important to mention here that you are not a client of DVA Makelaars, and that we always carefully carry out the handover of a property. During the handover of this property, we dealt with an elderly lady who is in need of assistance. She did not receive help from her immediate surroundings when emptying the house, where everyone could see that she had done more than her best to hand over the property as well as possible to you. She handed everything empty except for a few items in the storage room. She also left a few wall shelves and some lamps hanging, which is quite common during a handover; new residents then immediately have light when doing renovations. Our client resolved the incident neatly by financially settling it with you, the buyers, on the spot. You agreed to this! We have to look after the interests of our client and have acted in the interest of our principal. It's a pity to now have to read a whole account of this minor incident which has been settled with more than a very good amount of money from our client. It feels like a slap in the face. We also find it disrespectful towards our principal. She even placed a Christmas arrangement in the house as a welcome gift for your new residents. Buying and selling a house is not something we do every day, so we certainly weren't familiar with the world of real estate... Afterwards, we contacted Marius from 'van het riet makelaars'. Marius is an incredibly pleasant realtor who helped us well in searching for a new home at our own pace. Ultimately, we came to a plot where Marius was able to mean a lot to us. Marius was always available (sorry for the messages ;) ) and was a very good sparring partner with questions. After purchasing the plot, we were also allowed to sell our house via 'van het Riet'. Again, nothing but praise; we wanted to sell quickly. The photographer came and the team at 'van het riet' took everything out of our hands. Thanks! What pleasant no-nonsense realtors. Top.

Date unknownHouse purchased with SC Bakker as the selling agency. House purchased and at the transfer, only 1 key was handed over. After returning from the notary and not being able to find the remaining keys in the house, I contacted the relevant party. It was stated that these keys were not present during the viewing. Strange because Wooncompagnie always installs new cylinder locks in the doors when a tenant moves out. But I also can't recall that myself. After some inquiries with my lawyer and a friend realtor, I formally notified Bakker in writing by phone. Two days later, when Bakker still refused to provide a locksmith or hand over the keys to me, I informed Bakker makelaardij that I was done with it and would officially notify them of default and that all additional costs would be recovered from them. You won't believe it but magically, the keys were suddenly present within 30 minutes, still in possession of Wooncompagnie. They delivered the keys to me that afternoon. In short, if you want lies and deceit, then you should do business with this party.
