A very bad experience and a complete lack of professionalism. Despite a clear verbal agreement, the bureau chose to ignore the made arrangements and thus provoke a bidding war at the last minute. There was total lack of transparency and no communication after the agreed deadlines had passed. I strongly advise against going into business with them if you are looking for reliability and respect for agreements.

Avoid Doctor Makelaars. This is a warning for tenants. After 5 years of renting, they have not conducted an end inspection, while our deposit was withheld for more than a month and we were pressured by the previous landlord to pay extra 'repair costs'. No invoices, no receipts, no proof – only demands for money with threats of higher costs if we refused. Louise was our contact person and she did not mediate or protect us as tenants. Instead, we were pressured to pay undocumented amounts, which raises serious questions about transparency and compliance with the law. A very unprofessional and intimidating experience.

Nadat ik vertrokken was, besloten ze op de een of andere manier dat ik voor de schoonmaak moest betalen. Dat heb ik gedaan. Nu, twee jaar later, heb ik mijn borg nog steeds niet teruggekregen en ben ik opgelicht met de rekeningen. Dit makelaarskantoor, dat alle contracten regelde, heeft nooit geprobeerd me te helpen. Akash Dhuney from ADD Makelaardij managed our rent of € 3.800 per month, but since the move it was a disaster: the apartment was dirty and not properly prepared, which forced us to pay for cleaning (which, as agreed, was deducted from the rent), and there was furniture of poor quality, such as a missing desk/drawer, a sagging/stained mattress, a broken kitchen chair with peeling leather, a non-matching/damaged TV with noise, and an unhygienic, stained sofa. Communication broke down early on with rude accusations ('Do you not understand English?'), threats of the police due to a misunderstanding about a payment in good faith, and delays in signing the contract needed for BSN/IND registration, despite Akash claiming to be the intermediary between landlords and tenants. Due to ongoing neglect, urgent defects were ignored, such as a leaking shower (worn parts), a non-functional bathroom exhaust fan causing mold growth, an unregulated heating system, a leaking refrigerator, a broken washing machine (useless for days) and increasing mold in the shower – all issues that hinder livability in the dwelling. Dutch law requires that real estate agents/landlords remedy these immediately upon notification. Akash refused to fully cooperate after evasive answers, acted opaquely and was not trustworthy – non-Indian tenants risk being scammed through delays and failure to meet obligations, while he continues to collect fees. Avoid ADD Makelaardij; document everything and know your rights to enforce repairs or take legal action. 1/5 stars.
