I've had a great experience, but I started to worry when the problems that I was told would be handled before the move weren’t resolved. I had two major issues that were effectively in violation of Dutch tenant rights and which were never resolved, namely a huge window leak that led to water damage and mold. I reported it repeatedly but received no support. Now, when I moved out, Brinkborgh falsely claimed that I hadn't cleaned and tidied the apartment and is using this false statement to illegally withhold my deposit. I have photos and videos with evidence and a testimony from the cleaning company and the moving company I hired to carry out my move. I asked for a specified list of what wasn’t cleaned or tidied, and they ghosted me. Unfortunately, I had to hire a lawyer to write a letter of demand and will be taking legal action. It's just very disappointing to have to do all this extra work and incur these extra costs because they lack moral character and are trying to withhold money illegally and fraudulently. I’ve also shared my story in some expat groups, and unfortunately, I am not the only one. This company works with a large landlord company which is widely known to be predatory. When I reported this to the municipality, they already knew exactly which company I was talking about and said it's an ongoing problem. Please learn from my experience and don’t trust these people.
